Original or Copy

Just bought me a new HT CD because my old one was so scratched. What do you prefer original CDs or cough"legal"cough MP3s from the net?

I prefer and have originals!

Whoever don't have originals don't deserve to be on this site and call themselves fans to Linkin Park... I proudly call myself a fan and own an original copy of every album!

Although I know a lot of people who downloaded FM music on their latest album they also bought the original so I guess that's ok!

Original CD's are better sound quality then MP3's although I do download audio but on a subscription service.

 

If u purchase CD's ur also more of a true music fan then if you where to have mp3's its also cooler at a party if people flick through the CD's then scrolling though a list of files ¬.¬

I dont care. I dont burn CD's anymore. Last CD I bought was Meteora.

i dont really care if a cd is original or burnt or mp3, but i do disagree with this "you have to buy the cd to be a real fan..." crap.

 

Alot of music i listen to, the cd shops dont sell, because they are forgien bands so they cant waste their time importing it. and in order to get those cd's (which i might only like 3 or 4 songs on it), i have to order, wait, collect, pay ridiculas costs, and then i finally have the cd. I would rather just download the cd and burn it to disc. But, then there are things for example, Collision Course, when that came out, and i went out and brought that, even though mp3's and dvd rips were availible to me. Plus, alot of my LP stuff is in mp3, but like mike says "download that shit". I am no lesser a fan of bands just because i dont always own the cd's. I mean, im 15, i dont have 30 bucks to buy a new cd all the time.

I buy the real album unless its not sold then I download it or if I just wanna make sure there music is good I download it.But if its LP then I Dont care I buy my self a copy.

The original CD, of course. It contains way better quality than downloading them online. I remember when Collision Course first came out in the UK, someone hosted the album on this site for download. I downloaded the album, but I still bought the actual album the next day it came out in the US.

 

My Meteora album is scratched right now, most likely because it was the only album I used to listen to a lot, especially when it first came out. I tried to clean it many times, but the only song that skips like crazy is the last track "Numb." So I'm gonna go out and eventually buy a new one.

American music - Actual copy.

Japanese music - MP3. No need to wait for a censored, watered-down, translated version, or to wait for it to import.

I really prefer original CDs. I'll take a burnt copy. I don't really download a lot of stuff. Just ocasionally. When I have money I buy lots of CDs. I just like to have them.

Original, because like everyone says they do sound better. Only MP3 are my J-Pop and J-Rock, and sometimes songs that I do like and I just don't have the money to buy it or if I don't want to buy the cd and I know there will be only one song I would like.

I prefer originals, but Im not against those 'legal' mp3s. Even if have an original, Im either rippin it or dlin it so I can put it on my iPod.

I always buy the CDs. But of there is a band that im just getting into or something, I will download a few songs, or the whole cd off of Limewire. If I like it, I will buy the CD. And it bothers me to have a burnt album, I dont know why, but I guess Id just prefer to have the actual thing.

If you're talking about the Japanese singles, they're in English over there. I have Linkin Park's Japanese In The End Single, also known as In The End-Live and Rare. It has 7 tracks on it and was 30 bucks, but it's kick ass.

So far, I have every Linkin Park album that can be bought still. If I can't buy it, then I have no choice but to download it.

 

Although, last year, all of my CDs got warped because they sat in the heat all day at work, so I had to make a copy of them all. Fortunately I have the software to make direct replicas of a CD instead of having to rip it and then reburn it onto a CD.

No, I mean actual Japanese music. J-Rock, J-Pop, anime music, stuff like that. Dir en Grey, Orange Range, Malice Mizer, Moi Dix Mois, The Pillows, Phantasmagoria, bands like that.

i prefer original cd's though i download a lot,but that's cause it's impossible to find the stuff i need without a credit card, and i ain't got one

I'd buy the original copy in the name of LP lol.. I would sacrifice my time and money just to buy their album

i only buy the cd if i know ill liek the cd..linkin park fort minor ect.

Oh definatly original cds. There's just something about having the actual cd with the booklet and artwork and cd all together in a package, I just have to have it like that lol. I sometimes download certain songs from 1 artist or something, or if I wanna listen to a new artist.

 

I don't see any problem with buying cds actually. Shops around here don't stock cds from less known American bands here (E.g. Story Of The Year, they didn't have Taking Back Sunday for AGES, Hawthorne Heights (Until they released their new album), Sugarcult etc).

 

If you have a Visa electron / debit / credit card, it should be fine to get a hold of them with websites like Amazon (My second internet home!) The prices are very cheap compared to shops and they have most cds / dvds in stock! If not, you can order from overseas like America, and it still costs the same shipping price!)

 

So cds all the way! Though I can understand why people can't afford to keep buying loads *Like moi *
