Newton took a goal-line hit on a two-point conversion attempt late in the Panthers' 48-33 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Falcons rookie linebacker Deion Jones laid the helmet-to-helmet hit on Newton as the Panthers star slowed heading into the end zone, bumping him back at least a yard -- although Newton managed to reach across the goal-line with the ball to grab the points.
