(Reuters) - Dynamic Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton has signed a lucrative five-year contract extension that will keep him with the National Football League team through the 2020 season as he targets the franchise's first Super Bowl. "My main focus is trying to bring the Lombardi Trophy to the Carolinas by any means necessary," said the twice Pro Bowler who became the first player in the NFL to accumulate 10,000 passing yards and 2,000 rushing yards through his first four seasons. The Vince Lombardi Trophy is awarded each year to the winning team of the NFL's championship game, the Super Bowl.
