Dell Dimension E520 running vista home basicRan Dell Boot Up diagnostics test and speakers played but subwoofer didn't and reporter error 4E63:0F1BNo sound at all; Speakers not muted; harward checks indicate devices are working ok. Have re-installed drivers.Windows audio FIXIT didn't identify any problems.Believe the problem occurred following MS security update on 14th May 2012, but didn't realise that had no sound for a while and cannot boot from a prior period as no longer an option.Twin Altec Lancing speakers connect to multimedia subwoofer which in turn connects to the PC & play ok through sperate MP3 player
