Pceu trojan horse

Hi I have just picked up a virus Pceu Metropolitan Police, It has totaly locked my pc. I have managed to get a fix but I need to be able to start my pc in safe mode. It would appear that this virus is preventing me from doing this as it simply defaults to the options screen every time and will only start in normal mode!!
Any Ideas? PLEASE.
