Figure'd I would share some recent pictures I've snapped of some new parts, modifications, etc. Most of these pictures are up on my site, but I know not everyone has seen them.

Big thanks to Burke78...he helped me out with getting Tim @ Stellar Machine and Performance to make my dad and I two +4" basic round tube extended swing arms for our 2004/2005 TRX450R's. We also had Tim powdercoat them....awesome price and the fabrication is excellent. These weigh 2 lbs less than the stock 04/05 swing arms too!

Here is my swingarm with everything ready to install...110 link chain, TM Designsworks banshee chain guide, rear lowering link, rear axle bearings, and swingarm bearings.

Here's the front end of my quad...lowering kit installed and the shocks adjusted all hard. A lot of people don't like how this changes the suspension geometry, but for 300ft dirt drags, they work just fine.

Dynatek programmable ignition and programming software. I programmed the stock curve to have a 10,500 RPM rev limit.

Quite a few new parts...Racers Edge AZ filter, cam carrier, Web 493/739 (now sold), Innovate MTX-L wide band a/f sensor, and RD Dual Valve Springs.

Another shot of the RE AZ filter installed with the box cut so it'll fit.

A picture to show how big the RE AZ filter really is compared to the DASA filter.

A shot of all the filters that I have that fit the DASA intake ring for the 04/05's.

Picture of my dad in the return lane. He's 62 years old and still loves racing the 450R's.

Picture of a few of the trophies I've won this year racing.

Picture of one of the 300' time slips I ran. My usual times are right around 5.2 seconds between 58 and 60mph...this is on the stock swingarm and suspension which is very hard not to wheelie on the start. I'm on the left for this slip.

http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/10/23_times-1.jpg

Another time slip for 300'.

http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/10/24_times-1.jpg

A timeslip from 300' drags where, somehow, I ran a 4.93. No idea how I ran this fast...have never been able to get under 5.0 since then.

http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/10/25_times-1.jpg

This is a timeslip from the first time I tried 500' dirt drag racing at Bedford, PA. First time on a pro tree too. I am on the right for this slip...I was racing a 500cc YFZ that was very fast...he won the class.

This is a recent dyno sheet from my bike on a dynojet that was a bit stingier...but still great for tuning.

Recent dyno from my dad's bike on the same dynojet.

Nice, are you going to trail ride with a +4 swinger or is it just a drag bike now? I am about finished putting my Houser Swing arm on mine. Recently moved to Gerrardstown and haven't had time to finish it. I recognized that Red Dakota with the "ride red" sticker! Where are the drags at? I know they have some down in Front Royal but I haven't been yet. I did the so called flat drags at Berkeley County fair but that was pathetic really.

Front Royal is where I do the drags at...at the Warren County Fairgrounds. We are racing tomorrow night...only 2 races left this season. You should come check it out...signup is at 3pm and we race at 5pm (usually starts a bit later tho). Bring your bike and sign up...there is an Amatuer class...only $20 per class to race with double elimination, it's a lot of fun and everyone is really laid back.

The last race of the season is on November 11 in Augusta, WV if you're interested. Search out Go Broke Racing on facebook and go to http://www.gobrokeracing.com

Thought so, depending on what Hurricane Sandy does (I work for NOAA) I may be working this weekend, but if I don't I will try to make it to the race. Wont be bringing my bike since I am not finished with new swing arm and head yet.

Here are some updated pics of the swing arms installed and how my bike currently sits. The new swingers are amazing. Compared to the old setup, the new one is a dream. Rides great, doesn't wheelie out of the hole, weighs less, strong and well made, makes my bike MUCH more consistent...and shaved two tenths off my average time!

lemme know how you like them pro-wedges. i like how the 4-snows let me keep my wheele speed up. maybe do some timed runs back to back?

Bailey...I don't chain it any more. We put the rear lowering links on to drop the ride height in the rear and adjusted the stock shock all hard. It's so much nicer now.

bcd...it was my first time on the pro wedges...the track was a lot more loose than I'm used to. I'll be trying them back to back against the Ohtsu 501's in mid November at the last fair-style race.

Id never even put those stock tires back on... There is no possible way they offer enough traction with your build and ur extended swinger.

Very neat Gary! I envy you that your dad gets right beside you and races! I know mine would if we lived close enough and had a track nearby. Interesting that filter worked out for your build too because burke's bike sure didn't like it with the 42.5 bored fcr. It ran way too lean and he was forced to put a stock size filter back on it to bring the fuel curve back down and smooth out.

I'm with Country on the tire situation, you'll spin those knobbies for miles with your new swingarm. Keep up the good work!
