PNG says Australian immigration center on Manus island to close

SYDNEY (Reuters) - Papua New Guinea (PNG) will close an Australian immigration detention center on an island after the PNG Supreme Court declared detention there unlawful, PNG's prime minister, Peter O'Neill, said on Wednesday. O'Neil said Papua New Guinea would ask Australia to make arrangements for the more than 800 asylum seekers held at the detention center on Manus Island.
