Kryptonite Man
The reason we have to hear this again is becase we got dumbasses all over that are saying it never happened and most of our youth are gullible enough to listen to these lying ass Neo-Nazi bastards. If we don't learn from the mistakes of the past, we will surely doom our future. Quote I'm a liberal's worst nightmare. A black man with a brain! If we don't learn from the mistakes of the past, we will surely doom our future. I don't think beating a dead horse on this issue is going to make a bunch of Neo Nazi skin heads believe it happened. If they have that little grasp of reality and that much hate in their heart, this isn't going to change anything. As for us being doomed to repeat our mistakes from the past...I don't buy it. I know this is true to a certain degree however it just seems like the holocaust is made so much of when there have been other terrible injustices done to other groups of people and not as much has been done about it. Its like the holocaust has a better press agent or something. What about the attocities that have gone on in Africa? Too many too list, what about what was done to the American Indian, what was done to the Slaves, what was done to the East Indians by the British...what was done by the Turks to just about everyone they came in contact with... I was just watching Oprah, she was showing the Horrors that are going on in the Sudan...the lighter skinned Muslims are killing the dark skinned Muslims because the lighter ones think their better...sound familiar? Genocide...their reporter was saying that SO FAR 400,000 men women and children have been killed because of their race. We hear more about the holocaust that happened more then 50 years ago then we hear about these poor people driven from their villages, if they were lucky enough to NOT be killed outright. bry0000000
The reason we have to keep bringing this up is to keep the world and future generations from forgetting. Yes, the Halocaust was horrible, and anyone with a sense of history will know about it. However, the reason this keeps getting brought up is to keep the masses from having the same sort of mentality that they did in World War 2 Germany. Study the past if you would define the future -- unknown.

No one can answer for me why the Holocaust is given MORE attention then other similar events... Other events that are going on today in fact... Other events where as many people died... Other events that were just as barbaric... Other events that were racially motivated... Quote I am a pathetic piece of shit leeching single mom. A national rememberance day, once a year, fervently and patriotically supported, is what the rest of the world does. Make a couple of movies maybe (that's been done to death), or write a play. snafu
I must be ignorant. What deaths in Africa? Aids? Hunger? Just living in a shit whole? Yes a very big number are dying. But I don't see a dictator systematically exterminating a sect of people there. Not the same. And Africa's plite is happening now. You hear about that all the time. You have heard of the Sudan (Darfar) and Uganda??? In the most recent struggle in Sudan, 400,000 black muslims have been murdered by paler skinned Muslims because of their skin color, this is just so far. Similar crimes have occured in Uganda. Just the fact you can type your above statement proves my point, there have been similar things happen, you just don't know about them because they aren't publicized as well. http://www.historyplace.com/worldhistory/genocide/armenians.htm Heres another genocide everyone wants to forget. The above link has an extensive article on this situation. "The first genocide of the 20th Century occurred when two million Armenians living in Turkey were eliminated from their historic homeland through forced deportations and massacres." I used to know a man (he was old back when I knew him) who fled Turkey after his Father was disemboweled on the doorstep in front of his eyes, they then entered his home and killed his Mother in front of him. Somehow he was able to get away, he was only a small child at the time. Quote I am a pathetic piece of shit leeching single mom.
