More than 800 state, local and federal agents combed thick woods east of the maximum-security jail in New York state where Richard Matt and David Sweat used power tools to cut their way to freedom. Police said the search was continuing for a second day along state highway 374, but with the focus on the town of Plattsburgh, about 15 miles (24 kilometers) east of the Clinton Correctional Facility.
