This just started today, but I keep randomly getting this mesage:

I don't know it if LPF or just my internet, but it's only happened on LPF.

most likely spyware, not sure if it's a virus. Let me get on firefox and see if it does the same. just do a spyware and virus check when you get the time.

i could be wrong though lol

On a second glance, I can tell it's not from LPF. It's a pop-up asking you to dl that .exe file from the site,
http://ax.web-nexus.net/download/ax/228/
If it were from LPF the address would say it's downloading from, http://www.linkinparkforums.com

yeah i noticed this.. pretty weird. Gosh sometimes I wish i was a computer genuis lmao. i love helping people with this stuff but it never works... XD

but when i go to http://ax.web-nexus.net/download/ax/228/, it doesn't work, but when i go to http://ax.web-nexus.net/download/ax/228/installer.exe it asks me the same as her...

Lol.

I get pop-ups like that from time to time, none, unless I specify from that site, are actually from the site I'm on.

that's weird lol. I never get pop-ups anymore. Haven't in about a year. The only time i get those are when my download manager is on and it tries to download a file i don't want it too.

Hey [LP]GLP, maybe you could go to a Computer tech forum and post that... i'm sure you can find help at one of those..

I have a pop-up blocker, and when something tries to pop up, the blocker tells me. That has never happened whenever I've been on LPF.

Yeah, but LPF could link it from that source. Very possible. Plus I wasn't on that site, so it would've had to be linked.

Either way, I never got to look at my scans cause I was really busy yesterday and today. But, it has gone away now.

I'm still not sure what is was. Yeah, I have pop-up blocker, but pop-up blockers aren't for that kind of thing. I'm gonna do several checks next week (I'm going out of town that's why then). I know that my computer has at least a couple of un-removeable spywares, but they've never caused any problems before. As far as I can tell, the pop-up is gone though.
