Guest Adam Stracener
Hello everybody, Doing a new roll out of about 100 new laptops created the answer file but when going back into Windows i still get asked to setup a local username and password. We would like to turn that off since the IT Department only uses the local Administrator account with the password we make in the answer file. Any thoughts? Here is our current file <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <unattend xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:unattend"> <settings pass="generalize"> <component name="Microsoft-Windows-Security-SPP" processorArchitecture="x86" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35" language="neutral" versionScope="nonSxS" xmlns:wcm="http://schemas.microsoft.com/WMIConfig/2002/State" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <SkipRearm>1</SkipRearm> </component> </settings> <settings pass="specialize"> <component name="Microsoft-Windows-Deployment" processorArchitecture="x86" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35" language="neutral" versionScope="nonSxS" xmlns:wcm="http://schemas.microsoft.com/WMIConfig/2002/State" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <RunSynchronous> <RunSynchronousCommand wcm:action="add"> <Path>net user administrator /active:yes</Path> <Order>1</Order> </RunSynchronousCommand> </RunSynchronous> </component> <component name="Microsoft-Windows-Security-SPP-UX" processorArchitecture="x86" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35" language="neutral" versionScope="nonSxS" xmlns:wcm="http://schemas.microsoft.com/WMIConfig/2002/State" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <SkipAutoActivation>true</SkipAutoActivation> </component> <component name="Microsoft-Windows-Shell-Setup" processorArchitecture="x86" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35" language="neutral" versionScope="nonSxS" xmlns:wcm="http://schemas.microsoft.com/WMIConfig/2002/State" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <CopyProfile>true</CopyProfile> <ShowWindowsLive>false</ShowWindowsLive> <TimeZone>Central Standard Time</TimeZone> <ComputerName>%Please input a computer name%</ComputerName> </component> <component name="Microsoft-Windows-UnattendedJoin" processorArchitecture="x86" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35" language="neutral" versionScope="nonSxS" xmlns:wcm="http://schemas.microsoft.com/WMIConfig/2002/State" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <Identification> <Credentials> <Username>%Please input user name%</Username> <Password>%Please input user password%</Password> </Credentials> <JoinDomain>%Please input a domain to join%</JoinDomain> </Identification> </component> </settings> <settings pass="oobeSystem"> <component name="Microsoft-Windows-International-Core" processorArchitecture="x86" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35" language="neutral" versionScope="nonSxS" xmlns:wcm="http://schemas.microsoft.com/WMIConfig/2002/State" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <InputLocale>en-us</InputLocale> <SystemLocale>en-us</SystemLocale> <UILanguage>en-us</UILanguage> <UserLocale>en-us</UserLocale> </component> <component name="Microsoft-Windows-Shell-Setup" processorArchitecture="x86" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35" language="neutral" versionScope="nonSxS" xmlns:wcm="http://schemas.microsoft.com/WMIConfig/2002/State" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <OOBE> <HideEULAPage>true</HideEULAPage> <NetworkLocation>Work</NetworkLocation> <ProtectYourPC>1</ProtectYourPC> <HideWirelessSetupInOOBE>true</HideWirelessSetupInOOBE> <SkipUserOOBE>false</SkipUserOOBE> </OOBE> <AutoLogon> <Enabled>true</Enabled> <LogonCount>5</LogonCount> <Username>Administrator</Username> <Password> <Value>QQBsADEAdgAzAEEAZABtADEAbgBQAGEAcwBzAHcAbwByAGQA</Value> <PlainText>false</PlainText> </Password> </AutoLogon> <RegisteredOrganization>COMPANY</RegisteredOrganization> <RegisteredOwner>COMPANY IT Department</RegisteredOwner> </component> </settings> <cpi:offlineImage cpi:source="catalog:c:/users/astracener/downloads/en_windows_7_professional_x86_dvd_x15-65804/sources/install_windows 7 professional.clg" xmlns:cpi="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:cpi" /> </unattend> Continue reading...
