This is really a thread for all you gamers here at LPF.. What do you think of the PSP? I personally can't wait to get one.. I haven't yet played one either..but this thing does everything.. Plays movies , music, and games... so in reality this thing branches out to alot more people then the gamers.. My mom just called my from work (she works at a highschool) and she was like yea I am playin the PSP. One of the kids is showing it to me.. she was messin with me and was like maybe we should go buy you one tonight and i was like YEA!! and she was like no..but I was personally excited by this release.. I think this thing is awsum... unfortunaly I probably gunna have to wait until my birthday which is in July to actually own one of thise things.. But what does everyone else thing?

P.S. - Yes, I am a huge gamer..

I want to get it b/c it's very convincing. It's kinda expensive though - like $250 (i think). That's the cost of my purse... :eek:

i want one of those!!!!! thats so cool! its like a little playstation where u can walk around n play on them!! that is fukin awsum!! r they expensive?? cuz my friend told me u can get like a whole kit wit : the game system, a case, a game and sumthing else but i forgot

I got a PSP & it is so totally awesome. It rocks my socks. lol

Anywho.... it is pretty tight though, i mainly use it for moveis & music.

I want one, i personally think it's better than the DS. All the DS is is just revamped nintendo games for the most part. and the bottom screen gets all ****** up. but i heard PSP's can only play movies that are in a certain format, so that's a.. downfall for me.

price really wont end up bein an issue for me, cuz i just got a job wewt

It can play movies, yes, but the bad part is that if you want to store a decent number of movies on it you will need a 1 GB memory stick that will cost you about $120.

i've been wanting one every since i found out about it over a year ago....gaming magz...wink... lol um they are 250 at best buy and other places for 500

^I read about it in one of my brother's magazines too.

Those look really awesome, but I probably won't get one cause they're expensive, and I'm not into games as much as I used to.

ooooo are they out??? Im in Australia and there has been no mention of them. I think im tossing up between a DS and PSP. I heard that the PSP can support movies but they will be on really small DVD disks like that of a Game Cube, but hollywood is saying that they arent goin to be changing the size of the DVD and wont be supporting the new size. So can they play movies? I say that HW should change the size sometime i mean DVD wiped out VHS so why not change again? lol.

Well, the PSP uses disks named UMDs (Universial Media Disk) & unfortunially, the only movies I heard that are coming out for it are Sony endorsed movies. As far as I know. Also, they are smaller than GC disks & are placed in a plastic "sleeve."

it is rediculus how everything has to be on its own media.

That is my new toy I have coming in a few days.
