Quarterback Manziel set for Dallas court appearance on assault charge

By Lisa Maria Garza DALLAS (Reuters) - Former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel is set to make his first appearance in a Dallas court on Thursday on a charge of assaulting his former girlfriend. Manziel, 23, on Wednesday surrendered to police, had a mugshot taken and posted bail. At the hearing on Thursday Dallas County Judge Roberto Cañas is set to review Manziel's bond conditions for the class-A misdemeanor charge against him, according to court records.
