Racism, Hate Crimes! That kind of shit pisses me off

Ah well, with the recent rise of the world cup, I have closely been monotoring team statisics and the bunch. I also have been looking into a lot of history about Soccer. One aspect, which really appeled to me, was the racism involved in Soocer. Before I plead my case, I want to tell you about an even that happened at my school about 9 hours ago.

And so lunch period ends, everybody takes their seats in my history class. I raise my hand, and I am granted premission to go to the bathroom. As I walk to the bath room, I see my friend Zack, we say hi, whats up etc and than we're on our way. I go into a different washroom closer to the end of the hallway, while he goes to the far one. (Keep in mind, Zack is black, from South Africa). Anyways, as I back to class, we do our daily work for about 30minutes and we begin to watch a movie. All of a sudden, I hear on the announcements that a Zack has been assaulted and almost murdered in the bathroom.... Too keep this short, one, or maybe five, no exact number is know, guys, who are white, beat the shit out of Zack, who is 16, and hung him by his neck using a belt from the top of the washroom stall... Two days prior to this, he found the words "Die 'Nigger' Die" on his locker and kept recieving death threats...

Anyways, me and my friend walk into the bathroom he was hung at to wash our hands after we spilled a bunch of gatorade in our history class. We walk in, turn to the sink to wash our hands and in the mirror we find Zack hung, just barley speaking under his breath saying "help me"... We pull him down, and hes in the hospital now with internal bleeding and a whole bunch of other shit.

This guy is a really nice person, and what fucking pisses me off is that these fuckers did this, according to their spoken motive, of him simpy being Black.

Racism has no basis, no justification spirtually, morally, and in any factual manner. Sure you've heard this before, but this shit is seriously getting out of hand.

On the earlier note of Soccer and Racism, well, particualrly in Holland, Germany and Spain have Black Soccer players been called Monkeys, have Bananas tossed their way, been chanted at with VERY racist words, and assaulted.

World renouned, and agruablly the best Soccer player in the world currently, Theiri Henri has been called a "Black '******' ass bitch" by the German coach. This happened a few weeks ago too.

Eto'o, a striker for Barcelona, the best Spanish, and possibly best Premier Soccer team in the world, has been racially degraded by his own fans. On one particular occaison, he was about to beat the shit of out of these Nazis who jumped on the field doing Hitlers Salute... He was held back by his fellow teammates. On numerous occaisons, people in the Netherlands and Germany have waved the Nazi Salute repeatedly, forcing the games to end.

Anyway. The fact that people feel the need to go out and cause pain and suffering due to something as minor as race is fucked up. What's more fucked up, though, is that an ordinary 16 year old had to experience this in a school of all places. And for what reason? The color of his skin? Yeah that makes a lot of fucking sense.

Kids should be able to feel safe at school. School is a place for education, not for violence. And yet look at all the shit that happens in schools.

What the hell, people. What the fucking hell.

I have heard that he is okay but I still hope these guys get caught... I mean, I don't pay attention to saftey when I am at school because I am almost brainwashed into thinking that it's 100% safe. Just last year some kid brought a glock to school, but he was an idiot and he brought it during lock down day and got caught.

Now you know that you should be thinking about safety. We might like to kick you around from time to time but I would HATE to hear you had been hurt by those idiots at your school.

I believe that this user poses a very interesting perspective on the entire issue. Actually, no. I don't understand what he said. But it hardly seems relivant.

In any case, this entire event is clearly not commonplace, and although I am obligated to feel sympathy, you cannot deny that this sort of thing is rare. What pisses me off is that today's minorities feel compelled to say racist things and generally be racist people because of stuff that happens to people in their communities, but not to them.

Minorities have become self-consious and will declare racism for very little reason because of things like this, because for some reason, being from the same genepool means that they have been victimized as well.

People are abused and killed under even flimsier pretences, but when it's racism, everybody jumps on board and declares that X race is racist against Y race as though it were always true. That sucks. A couple of racists committing an isolated incident should not create friction between two peoples. Thanks to minority comedians, that's exactly what happens. They piss me off, too, thinking they're justified for declaring their racism because of such isolated incidents. That sucks.
