Many years ago the State of Maryland began a program in the schools to
eliminate the "n" word, (******)
from the popular ditty. Students were told to say "catch a tiger by
his toe". My third grade classmate in
our small rural school, and later a candidate for a Nobel prize,
uttered these words, "Mrs. Hetzberger,
I have not seen any tigers around Poolesville but I see ******s almost
everyday". Mrs. Hetzberger fled the
classroom and her laughter resounded throughout the halls!
