Read And Unread Posts

just wondering if this happens for anyone else.

on the forum main page, it has the LP Logos next to the different threads, blue for new post, white for a no new posts since you last read it.

well, alot of mine are white, even though i havent read that thread yet.

does anyone know why this is?

I'm not sure. I wondered if it was based on your last visit, not whether you actually read the threads in that particular board. For instance if you came on the forum and the logo was blue, went off and came on again, it might be white because there are no new posts since you last came. I don't know, that's just a guess.

What *is* quite annoying is when I make a post and the forum comes up blue... heh... I know there's a new post, I made it myself

It depends on your cookies. I think if you clear them or log out it marks them as read. not sure though.

What I find rather annoying as well is when I click on a thread and I go away from my computer for some time and come back later on only to find all the forums have been marked read when I click back to the forum index. Has this happened to anyone else?

It happens to me. Yeah, if you delete your cookies or logg off LPF and then logg back on they will all be renewed.

Maybe it just has to do with what your browser does with the cookies. I really don't know how to fix it though.
