I find it almost Inconceivable that in a modern state that there is no control of just who is allowed to buy and use firearms, I lived for 30 years in South Africa 10 of which were as a farmer in close proximity to Kruger National Park, so we had not only the people of bad intent to watch out for but also sometimes Lion got out of the park and went walk about so I am no stranger to guns and owned a few, but each one had to be licensed and its details entered onto your ID Book and you had to give a reasonable reason for needing it, We had our nutters (all countries do) but it was understood that it would be better if they were not allowed to purchase a fire arm.
