Revolution [Poem]

Don't break these chains that bind me within the streets of rage

Watch the skies paint the disturbing images of this dark age

An ill-coloured world doesn't strike fear into this disjointed heart

I can trap illusionary happiness and show no empathy when I depart

A sense of purpose cannot be found beneath a sky that has gone to waste

Our clocks will tick off the minutes until all the colour has been erased

until all the colour has been erased

Redirect the destruction and hold back the daggers in protest

Keep the light in your memory, and forget all about the rest

Destroy this overwhelming black canvas and cage the colours of war

Penetrate the clouds and allow the sun to pierce the sky once more

Replace the colours in order to put the world back into view

In the end, these skies will tear open to reveal a new hue of blue

to reveal a new hue of blue

Wow, I have not been on here in quite sometime; not since early 2005. I figured I'd rejoin my fellow LP Obsessors and post a recent poem of mine. Anyways, how is everyone?
