Reyes out until end of May for domestic violence

Colorado Rockies shortstop Jose Reyes will remain suspended without pay through May 31 under Major League Baseball's recently adopted domestic violence policy, commissioner Rob Manfred said Friday. Reyes will miss 51 games in all, having already missed 34 games since the six-month season began last month with another 17 slated through the end of the month. The unpaid suspension, which Reyes has agreed not to appeal, was retroactive to February 23, when Reyes was placed on leave pending the resolution of criminal proceedings in Hawaii.
