Running xp Service pack 3 had work done on comuter and now I cannot turn on real time protection get

Not much more to say--computer works fine, but red flag says Real Time Protection is not turned on ,  When I go to settings i Security Essentials, the box is checked that says turn on real time portection When I click on turn on, I get the error code 0x800705b4
