This was in the FM chat tonight...
Its a bit confusing, but theres like a million things going on at once so it was hard enough to just get this. Sorry if its way too colorful for you. Itd be too hard to undestand otherwise.

*RYU ENTERS*
Ryu: hello everybody it's 10Am in japan I'm starting on my first beer
The show last night was probably one of the best shows we've ever had
and we're going to sound check in about a half an hour
you got some questions for me?
>>how was it working with someone like mike? was it intimidating or reassuring to work with someone with so much experience?
Ryu: I think being with Machine Shop and being with Mike Shinoda opens up different possibilities that we've never done in the past
And should make for Styles of Beyond to be more well rounded artists
>>Hey Ryu, Which was better for you to work on, THe Mixtape or the Album?
Ryu: The mixtape because that is more of my musical roots
It's just straight hip hop ***
it was a great experience working with Mike seeing as we've been friends so long
Mike has a great ear for making hit records and I think he can bring some of that to Styles of Beyond
>>yo ryu, which one of the mixtape/album songs do you believe represents you guys and the rest of FM best?
btw, splat and i send much love to ya!! keep rockin the mic. we’re behind you 100%.
Ryu: I think everyone we did on the mixtape and the Fort Minor record represents all of us equally because we all have different personalities and it comes out in what we do
But if you're asking me what my favorite song is, it's Spraypaint & Inkpens
>>Hey there Ryu, I was wondering how it feels to have these many fans before The Rising Tied is even out?
Ryu: I think the record is getting a great response
and we're real appreciative that everyone is accepting Fort Minor the way they have
*MIKE ENTERS*
Mike: awww yeah
>> dang it mike you said you werne't coming. lol
Mike: i'm just sitting in.
Mike: hi
JonandBT: No tour discussion, thanks. Mike - do you have a question for Ryu?
Mike: i'm an "m" -- so, ryu, was cheapshot drunk last night?
Ryu: Oh yes he was. He's realy hung over right now
He's got bloodshot eyes right now
He is drinking a trash can full of water
I'll take one last question cause I gotta get to sound check
>>Ryu what is your verse in "Feel Like Home" about? Mike's verse was a little more autobiographical, so I wondered if that's how yours was or if you were role-playing with that.
Ryu: In that song I was role playing...
I was speaking from the perspective of a homeless person
>>Ryu - did you have inspiration.? if so who was your inspiration to continure with hip hop.
Are we aloud to ask mike a question
Ryu: My inspiration for hip hop was the old school pioneers like Big Daddy Kane, Wu Tang Clan, people like that
Mike: i'm just hanging out, i'll throw in a word or two if it's appropriate.
Ryu: Hey I gotta run right now. I'm gonna go do sound check. I wish I could be on longer but I'll be on periodically just to say what's up
I miss you guys!
*RYU LEAVES*
Mike: we've gotta go do a soundcheck in a minute
*CHEAPSHOT ENTERS*
Mike: there we go
cheepycheep
Cheapshot: I miss being on the message boards and I'm glad to be back
>>Will Styles of Beyond be dropping any albums soon? And can we expect any DemiGodz projects?
Hope you feel better Cheapshot!
Cheapshot: Yes to both those questions
Styles of Beyond will be dropping May 2006 on Machine Shop Recordings...I think
And Demigodz, Apathy has a new record called Eastern Philosophy
And we're gonna put out a Demigodz record next year with the whole crew
Mike: we aren't sure about the month right now. but we want to get an SOB album out in 06 for sure
>> cheap, who did you have the most fun working with(in your career)
Cheapshot: My initial thoughts was just excited to be working with Mike again...
going in the studio with Mike I knew it was gonna be a big record
Mike: cheapshot did a really dope part in the song "feel like home" -- he scratches a part, then doubles it--kinda like a harmony--in the end.
>> Who musicaly influenced you cheap?
Cheapshot: The Beastie Boys- I did a remix with them on their Anthology DVD for "Looking Down the Barrel of a Gun"
My musical influences were the later hip hop like Beastie Boys, Diamond D, Black Sheep
...and Kenny G too
Mike: don't forget celine dion.
Cheapshot: Hopefully SOB will be an innovator of hip hop...
I hope to be the Linkin Park of hip hop if you will...except I'm cuter than Mike
I actually physically didn't get to meet him. but I've been a fan for years and it was cool listening to him mixing it and shouting us out
I gotta go to soundcheck
i can take one more question
I definitely have noticed a change in fans
>> Cheap, Ryu said that before now you guys had never had many female fans before. Have you noticed a difference in the demographic of your fanbase now that you've done this project?
Cheapshot: It's great having more female fans and I hope to hang out with all of them when we get to all the countries
Even though we're having the best time on the planet I can't wait to see them when I get home
JonandBT: (mike can you bold your text)
Mike: yes i can bold my text. do you like it better in bold?
i can color it green too
or blue
blue looks good
Mike: the funny thing about RYU and TAK is that they're both japanese names, even thought neither of the guys are japanese.
i gotta go too. soundcheck.
JonandBT: flood of goodbyes coming in
Mike: flood it
*Shitload of goodbyes*
Mike: BYE. vote on TRL
JonandBT: MIKE go
walk out the door
don't be late for the show
