hey guys this thread is about everything u need to know about samantha bennington (chester's wife) I know most of u dont know anything about her bcuz i read this sentnce alont in this forum "I didnt know that he was married" so i decided to post everything i know in 4 parts

INFO AND FACTS

1-full name: Samantha Maria Cardosa Bennington.

2-Samantha and Chester got married on October 31,1996

3-When Chester first met Samantha he was working part- time at Burger King so he could practice all night. Chester didn't have a car, but he owned a skateboard and he got from place to place on that.

4-When Chester married Samantha they didn't have enough money for wedding rings - so a friend tattooed their fingers for free.

5-By the time Chester was in his early 20's, Him and Samantha owned two homes in Arizona and were working at a local real estate market.

6-Chester had a lipring - but he recently removed it at Samanthas request - while they were retaking their wedding vowes in Hawaii.

4-Samantha and Chester have one son, Draven Sebastian , born on April 19, 2002

Tattoos are permanent and a lifelong commitment, the same as marraige. I figure if I'm gonna make a lifelong commitment with a person then I need to respect their boundaries. I've actually discussed every piece I've had done except the first because that was done before I met her. ENCOUNTERS

A couple of us went out to the Rainbow Bar & Grill. While we were sitting at our table, I saw this guy with flame tattoos getting cigarettes and he looked way too familiar! I went over and realized that it was Chester. I was shocked that I was meeting someone that I look up to. I said hi and shook his hand. I went back to our table and everything was bugging me to go get his autograph. So I went over to his table where Samantha was with him,alked to him and got him to sign the menu. They were both very nice!

A group of them( 6 to be exact ), had gone to the concert and a friend of theirs, who was working security, had mentioned that some of LP were going to a disco (dance club in Europe) after the show. So the girls went to this club, hoping that the guys would show up, and they did. Mike, Rob, Joe and Chester showed up with about 7 other people. Estella, the girl that this happened to, said that there were a couple of girls among the other 7; Sam was one of them. Anyway, Estella and her friends went over to the guys and told them what a great show they had given and asked if they could have autographs and pictures. This part went well, but when they went to thank them Sam became very possessive.

I am Portuguese, and when we say hello / goodbye, we kiss on both cheeks. Apparently, the girls had no problems doing this to Mike, Joe or Rob, but before they could say goodbye to Chester, Sam took him by the arm and pulled him onto the dance floor. The next part I took with a grain of salt.

The girls stayed around and while several of the guys were dancing, went up and danced along side of them. While Chester was grooving with one of the other girls from his group, one of Estella's friends came up next to him and began to dance. When he saw her, he began to dance with her too, and before long, he was dancing in the middle of a group of 7 girls and pulling each one at a time into the circle with him. Estella said he was laughing and seemed to be having a great time, until Sam came onto the dance floor and asked him "What the **** is going on?"

After that, he thanked the girls for the dance and he and Sam went over in a corner of the club and began to argue. The argument lasted for about 10 minutes, and then they both left.

That's about it. I do feel for Sam at times. It must be difficult knowing that thousands of women want your husband, but unfortunately that is part of his life as a celebrity. Maybe the girls came on a little to strong or they just caught her in a bad mood. Who knows?

The one thing I do know is that jealousy is not a sign of love, but insecurity. Chester married her and loves her. This should be all the security she needs.

Before the show Chester was walkin' across the street from a car and Samantha was with

him. My friend asked Chester for a pic so we walked over and I told him the show the

night before was KICK A** and well, i sorta yelled it cause i was really excited and I

think i scared him but he was very humble. So, We were gettin a picture and Chester

told Samantha to take it because there were 3 of us. SOOOOOOOOO it was a digital

camera, and she asked where to look into it-- THEN we should have known to give the

camera to someone else because that just screams dumb.

SO i tell her you see that BIG FAT SCREEN - haha - im surprised Chester didnt hit me

lol...then she tells us to smile and looks the other **** way and says ok thanks hun,

and all of us, even Chester were like did you take the picture? and she was like

YEP!!!!!! So then they both left, and Chester was so nice and smelled so FREAKIN good,

we went to look at the picture...and IT WASNT THERE BECAUSE SAMANTHA BENNINGTON IS

DUMB and didnt take the picture, so now we do not have a pic with Chester and i cried.

I met Chester on a girl’s night out, November 2002, there were four of us, and my friend, Sara, she really loves Linkin Park, so we were like walking own the street, towards a restaurant, when all of a sudden Sara starts

like screaming and jumping up and down, and of course it was Chester standing across the street, and he had a few guys with him, one was Joe… anyways, I was the only one out of my group who had the ***** to go over there, so I went up to him and asked if he’d sign my friend’s purse, and Sara was over the street having a heart attack, and he was all like “Sure… ok, what’s her name”, then two of my friends, not including Sara, came and said hi, and I was surprised how nice he was, cause I was expecting him to like tell me to get lost, but he signed the purse and then Samantha came out from like nowhere and said something to Chester, as if she was like making it obvious to us that he was hers, like I gave a ****, but he smiled and said “I Gotta go, see ya” and I saw him walk off down the street with Sam, and they started talking…It was obvious that they were both having a bad day, but when I came over to him, Joe said “What was it, Claire?” and Chester said “No…what are you talking about…?” and they Were both trying to fight smiling, so maybe Sam was just overprotective cause Joe and Chester were talking about girls!

Me and My friend Lauren saw her. We were walking across the street the the Alltell Arena To see LP (And meet them) and two busses passed us, but then the light turned red and one had to stop. I looked up and Said to Lauren "Theres a kid up there. Theres a kid in that bus." She said "That looks like Sam" Turns out, it was Sam sitting in the front of the LP bus holding Draven. He still looks like a baby! But he had a lot of hair. It was black. So, yea. That's what happenned to me.

I was just minding my own business, well trying to get a better pic of Bradfro, cause he was hanging out at the side stages. Then all of a sudden I see Rob, Im such a chicken to go up for autographs, so yeah i waited. Was watching the Rev stage when at the corner of my eye I see this toddler on this guys shoulders...I do have a problem with toddlers being at concerts, but ya know, lol. Then I look again, and I see that it's Chester and Draven. I just about FREAKED, but I stayed calm, lol. Then Behind them I see Sam, she looked soo cute, I loved the outfit that she was wearing. Draven had these cute little headphones on, looked like the ones that Brad wears, just miniature =). So I snapped a few shots and the one I tried getting (Chaz and Draven) was all blurry (it is attached though). Then Sam took Draven away and he was reaching out and mouthing "Daddy", I was almost in tears, cause it was too cute. Then sam came back and I was so tempted in approaching them and asking for both thier autographs, and if Draven was there, id ask for his too, hehe. But Sam and Chaz just looked so cozy, and he gave her a few kisses, it was so sweet, *a lil jealous*, just for the fact I want a man in my life, lol. But then Chester and Sam left again. "There was a lot of fear," Bennington admits, smiling with love and relief at Samantha, seated next to him in a cozy booth in a restaurant across the street from the beach in Santa Monica. "We had a lot to lose -- our credit to destroy, a relationship to destroy." Both are in fine shape. Chester and Samantha, who were married in 1996, just bought a new home down in Redondo Beach and are expecting their first child, a son, in May.

On tour, Linkin Park travel in two buses: One is outfitted as a mobile studio for writing and recording; the other vehicle is a band-only, no-party zone. Alcohol, smoking and guests are prohibited; when Bennington brings Samantha on the road, they stay in the studio bus.

"He was screaming and yelling, 'I'm not doing music anymore!' " Samantha remembers. "I looked at him and said, 'I'm not letting you quit. You owe me an hour of practice, whether you're singing to the radio or playing your guitar.' I also told him, 'One day, you're going to get a call from L.A. I just know it. You need to be ready.'

"When you really love someone, you want to support them," she contends as Chester nods his head in adoring agreement. "He needs to be happy in what he is doing -- and doing his best." When Chester left for L.A., Samantha insists she had no doubts about letting him go. "I believed that it would work out. I also knew that if he didn't give it his all, saying 'What if?' would have driven him crazy."

In that Santa Monica restaurant, Chester and Samantha cheerfully raise their glasses of mineral water in a toast to his sobriety. "It's going to be more difficult for me to ***** on the new record," he concedes. "Because life is great."

might want a summer off."What do you mean?"says Chester Bennington. If we werent doing summer sanitarium

we'd be on our own tour." To reward himself for all his hard work, Bennington recently started leasing his very own tour bus, separate from his bandmates ride, so he can bring his wife Samantha, and their one year old son on the road. " I'm spoiled now," he admits. " Sometimes when Samantha isn't with me, the guys will be like, ' Why dont you stay on our bus?' and I'm like, ' you guys sleep in bunks, I have a real bedroom and my own bathroom.' "

What was your life like when you first met Samantha?

"She was alright with it. I said , 'This is what I'm going to do, and if you can handle that, that's cool. If you can't, then you should probably date someone else'. (Laughs) And she married me!"

Q: You married your wife, Samantha, on Oct. 31, 1996, when you were 20. What has changed you more: the success of Linkin Park or the birth of your son, Draven Sebastian?

Bennington: My son is way more important. Music was a hobby. It was something I did for fun and because I loved it. I'm lucky. I got married, got successful and then had a child. We waited seven years and felt we were really ready for a baby.

Q: As a new father, do you find yourself trying to present a more well-rounded picture of the world? Has it changed your lyrics?

Bennington: No, being a father hasn't changed my lyrics. The world is still a scary place. I mean, we have been at war since I was born. … I write to get (stuff) off my chest. I'm not a role model, and I'm not out to save the world. There is no bright side. Success, to me, is a good marriage and kids. It's not what most people think. I think people perpetuate the wrong things for their kids.

A: I suppose that she’s worried and, after all, it’s natural that a wife whose husband travels a lot questions herself. But we’ve been married for nearly 8 years and our realtion is important. Samantha is just perfect. I don’t deserve her.

Q: Do you have any hidden gift which would surprise your fans?

A:I’m an excellent cook. My wife says that’s the reason why she stays with me! (laughs) I can cook a normal steak with just salt and pepper and it will be the best one you’ll ever taste. The secret is to cook with love.

Q: You’ve got a lot of tattoes all over your body. Why?

A: To get tattoed is the most painful experience you could ever imagine and, at the same time, it’s beautiful and reveals a lot about your personnality. When people see my tattoes, I want them to help them to understand who I am. When I started, I didn’t plan to have as many tattoes, but I got them. There’s one I’m really proud of. Though one of the favorite stories in Linkin Park lore is that Chester and Samantha tattooed their ring fingers because they couldn't afford wedding bands, they were getting by, having purchased one condo with help from her mother and a second one, which they rented out, on equity and credit

"I mean, the goal in life is for the drama to stop," Bennington, 28, says with a wry smile. His two-story house in the South Bay seems designed with that purpose in mind. Free of clutter, scented by candles, its living room is serene.

LP's music draws on many influences, but if we came around to your house, what record would you be embarassed for us to find?

Oh man! My wife personally requested we got N'Sync's Celebrity cos she likes that Girls are Gone or whatever it is that Justin Timberlake sings. Yeah that's pretty embarassing but you know, honestly I don't mind what I listen as a good song is a good song and good music is good music, and as a group we listen to so many genres that we try to incoporate that into out musIC

CHESTER: 'My wife Samantha can have a baby any moment now. The baby (according the doctors a son! And if it is we're gonna name him Draven Sebastian) is due for the end of April - the begin of May (When this article was released she didn't have constractions yet). I've decided to stand by her at all costs and to take responsibility for our baby. The fans won't even notice my "babybreak": "The Linkin Park-machine" only stops for a few weeks! In May we are back with a remix album that was recorded a while ago.

In June I go back with the guys to the studio to record our new full album wich should be done in October. And the rest of the time I'm spending with my family.With Samantha, who has sacrificed a lot of her time and energy for me!'With this Chester means the time when Linkin Park started. The time where the succes was so small and they hardly had money enough to live!

CHESTER: 'When I got engaged to Samantha, I didn't even have money enough to buy her a decent ring. Because of that, Derrick, a friend of ours, tattood the same ring on Samantha's finger and on my finger. Free, we didn't have to pay for it! Samantha already loved me when I was just working in a coffeeshop and barely made money. She dreamt of a normal life with me, but right after our marriage in Phoenix and just when we built our house, I had a change to become the singer of Linkin Park. But for that I had to move to Los Angelos... on my one! It wasn't easy telling Samantha that I had to leave her on her own for a while. And that she had to take care of the bills alone when our income was only have the size!'And yet the couple chose for the difficult 'divorce'. Samantha stayed in Phoenix, Chester moved to Los Angelos.

CHESTER: 'We just got married but I went for the oppurtunity of my life!

Samantha of cours supported me. She knew I dreamt about being in a band like Linkin Park and saw that I believed in the capacities of the band. When I called her from LA she kept strong on the phone to give me currage to go through.And that while I knew she felt lonely alone at home! I owe a lot to her.She makes her demands sometimes, but doesn't an issue of it when I do what I want after all.Probably because she knows I love her more than anything in the world.I think of marriage as of putting a tattoo: it's something you have to think about before you do it, but once you do it, it's for the rest of your life!'And what Chester also understands is, to avoid argues, he always asks her opinion if it comes to big decisions!

CHESTER: 'I want her to be involved if I decide something. I remember I aproved to tattoo the albumcover of 'Hybrid Theory' on my leg without asking her.

She was furious about that! Maybe outstanders think our band is too strong, but my wife and I are always one. Sam is the only woman I trust.I've been abused as a kid and concurred a drugsaddict when I was young. That left his tracks.But Samantha slowly broke down that wall around me and won my heart.She made me a better person and when she suggested to spent a little time with my family, I didn't hesitade. KERRANG MAGZINE- November 2004 referring to the EMA's in Roma After one days duties are concluded, Bennington eventually stumbles to his beautiful 5 star hotel room to prepare for an exclusive meal later in the evening. He's travelled here with his wife and, while the pair are getting

ready, the door handle to the hotel bathroom falls off. He calls the front desk who send up 3 repair men to fix it. Three hours later, and with a gloriously Italian sense of dilligence, the repair men are all sat on thier arses in Benningtons room with the door handle no closer to being repaired than the workmen are to the dark side of the moon. Bennington snaps. He demands to move hotles. Why should he and his wife be expected to put up with this? Why should they be forced to be late for their meal because of the incompetence of Italian workmen? So he moves hotels and gets over it. Problem solved, no big deal

ABOUT CHESTER'S ILLNESS

Then there was this year's viral infection that sent him to intensive care at LA's Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre. The onset of the attack was frightening. He suddenly found himself losing feeling in his fingers, followed by his arms, feet and legs. His wife found him passed out in his home, collapsed on the floor, which he still doesn't recall happening to him.

I just got to say WOW!!! :eek: I didnt know that is why Chaz took out his Lip ring. Good job Anna on all that info. I am not even done reading all of it though.

I always thought to Samantha is strong woman,i like her she seems soo funny & honest,and Sam & Chaz are really cute couple.

Who cares how old is she....

From the text you post it's so **** clear that she helped Chaz soo many times,soo aren't we all thankful to Sam? (i know i'm)

Wow, that's really cool. I didn't even know half that stuff about Sam. :p I think I heard that she was in her 30's...like 36 or something.
