More gay men describe sexual encounters with U.S. Sen. Craig

Allegations made since news of the Minneapolis case broke lend weight to
rumors about Craig.

BY DAN POPKEY - dpopkey@idahostatesman.com
Edition Date: 12/02/07

David Phillips. Mike Jones. Greg Ruth. Tom Russell.

Four gay men, willing to put their names in print and whose allegations
can't be disproved, have come forward since news of U.S. Sen. Larry Craig's
guilty plea. They say they had sex with Craig or that he made a sexual
advance or that he paid them unusual attention.

They are telling their stories now because they are offended by Craig's
denials, including his famous statement, "I am not gay, I never have been
gay." Those words, spoken on live national TV on Aug. 28, are now
memorialized on a just-released-for-Christmas Talking Senator Larry Craig
Action Figure.

David Phillips is a 42-year-old information technology consultant in
Washington, D.C., who says Craig picked him up at a gay club in 1986 and
that they subsequently had sex.

Mike Jones is a former prostitute who told the world he had sex with the
Rev. Ted Haggard last year. The former Colorado Springs evangelist at first
denied it but eventually confessed. Jones says Craig paid him for sex in
late 2004 or early 2005.

Greg Ruth was a 24-year-old college Republican in 1981 when he says he was
hit on by Craig at a Republican meeting in Coeur d'Alene.

Tom Russell, now 48, is a former Nampa resident who lives in Utah. Russell
said his encounter with Craig occurred at Bogus Basin in the early 1980s.

A fifth gay man, who is from Boise but who declined to be named for fear of
retaliation, offered a recent and telling account: He was in a men's
restroom at Denver International Airport in September 2006 when the man in
the next stall moved his hand slowly, palm up, under the divider. Alarmed,
the man said he waited outside the restroom and then identified the man in
the adjoining stall as Craig, whom he had met in Idaho.
....
But the Statesman's investigation, which included reviews of travel and
property records and background checks on all five men, found nothing to
disprove the five new accounts. The men offer telling and sometimes similar
details about what happened, or the senator's travel records place him in
the city where sex is alleged to have occurred, or his accusers told
credible witnesses at the time of the incident.

Amazing. What is it with these lying sacks of Republicon ****? Or perhaps
Craig is really a closet Democrat out to scuttle the GOP's already slim
hopes for 2008. If so, he's doing a heckuva job...

Obviously you've been distracted by the one on top of your head, but the
POINT here is he's a ****ing LIAR. Not to mention, he's a ****ing HYPOCRITE.

Why are so many Republicons hypocritical filthy LIARS? What is it about the
GOP that attracts these assholes?

Top posting clueless luser, I can see you're too much of a ****ing coward to
address the point. Again. And again and again and again...

Not to worry. No one expects otherwise from your stupid, lying ass.

Out of curiosity, luser, and as most of us will never know otherwise,
precisely how ****ing stupid must one be before responding inline becomes a
fruitless exercise in arcane technical mysteries? Perhaps you can provide
the rest of us with a frame of reference.

For example, would you classify your particular brand of idiocy as rock hard
stupid or would it fall closer to super dense singularity stupid?

At some point, Americans are going to start wondering why the
Republican party attracts more than its fair share of racists,
hypocrites, liars, bigots and corrupt politicians.

Peter I strongly suggest you go back on the Lithium before you hurt
somebody. You are a very hate-filled person.

Clueless luser, I strongly suggest you find some web-fingered anencephalic
to post for you. You would appear ever so much less stupid than you do with
your current regime of 100% top posted utter nonsense. You see, you are a
very stupidity-filled person...

Or, to put it in a parlance with which you may be more familiar, yee ha, but
yooz shore izza gettin' smarterer and smarterer by the post...

But hey, just for grins, by all means do point out that which you foolishly
imagine to be hateful in this unabridged quotation to which you responded
so stupidly:

"Boy, howdy, you'd think. But that's the problem. Many don't think. They
believe ..."

Begin...

Now, does your ignorant goober superstitious ass have anything, anything at
all to say that is even remotely on the subject? Anything at all...

HELLO? Earth to Clueless luser, come in clueless luser...

<tap, tap, tap>

Well? Or have you forgotten the question?

BTW, genius, using an actual newsreader just a tad beyond your laughably
limited cognitive skill set, is it? Precisely how stupid must one be before
posting plain text inline becomes an unfathomably arcane technical
challenge? Without your answer I, like 99% of the users here, will never
know...
