Windows 7

Hi!

I need to upgrade my computers to Windows 7. I have 4. All are running Windows XP. 2 Home Edition, and 2 Professional. 2 are desktops and 2 are laptops. The Home Edition and Pro are on 1 each. I have several questions:

1. Where do I look to find out if a computer is 32-bit or 64-bit?

2. Do I need Pro to run on a network? All my computers are networked.

3. Does Pro really run older XP software in "XP Mode"? Some of my programs are older Adobe graphics programs, Word & Excel 2007, and AutoCAD 2005. Many more.

4. What version do I need to UPGRADE from XP or is that even possible?

I may have more but let's start with this.

Thanks in advance for any help,
Georg
