He set up the LPF Awards for this year and has had to put up with all the bullshit it some how got stuck up its ***. But lets up it aside and enjoy the interview.
Linkin Park Forums Third Annual Awards are underway. Now apparently it's been half a year in the works. To me after all I've seen I could have done it in a month at most. What exactly was the time taker in this whole process lets clear this up for the people?
+ Deciding on what Categories to Have.
+ Slowly Nominating as many Members as we Want.
+ Discussing/Changing the Nominations.
+ Formatting all the Nominations.
+ Creating the Rules and How to Vote.
+ Creating Voting Accounts.
+ Deciding who will Count which Votes.
+ Posting it up and Answering Questions
+ Counting all the Votes Manually.
+ Creating Tags for all the Winners.
It’s a lot of work, much more than the Nay-Sayers around here think it is. I think that if they tried to organize their own awards on the massive scale that they assume they can, they would either fail before they finish, or they would become too confusing for the average member to understand.
Lets just put it this way, the Nomination topic in the staff section was started on 01-17-2006 at 05:13 PM and up ‘til today 08-14-2006 at 3:21PM, it has received 175 Replies and 1,121 Views.
What was Shinodabears involvement in this process?
Well, he’s basically the creator of the awards. Although somewhat reserved this year, as I kinda took over, he helped out a lot with the nominations and is also helping count the votes. Why did you only ask about him though? Firibs also helped just as much as SB and Jenessa is also helping count votes.
While we have had a few negative responses which was expected are you overall happy with how things are going?
So far things have gone pretty well. I haven’t gotten as many votes as I thought I would get, but then again, this is my first year doing the awards and I had nothing to base my expectations on. I mean, I’m obviously disappointed in a few members for how they have reacted to the nominations. But so far things have been going pretty well. We are definitely going to finish out the awards this year, though we may shorten the voting period. I don’t think we will be doing the awards next year though.
There were a few people against the Awards show all together. Even a mod, Vash. Now everyone is entitled to their own opinion but if we were to not have an awards ceremony do you think it would have more of a negative effect versus positive?
Meh, I don’t think people would realize what they are losing. It just doesn’t seem like its worth doing the awards any more if we are gonna get so much backlash.

In the near future I am planning on having a Legends Ceremony for all of the members who have contributed nonstop and have been overall great people to have on this site. Now who do you think besides (ATLien) deserves a Legend Award?

Who do you think will have more success Snow White Tan or Fort Minor?
Fort Minor. No question. Sorry Chaz, but hip hop is big now. I mean, they even got WYG retired on TRL... Who does that?!
You are an amazing GFX artist. I love your work and somewhat envy it. Mainly because I don't know how to do the grunge effects and **** you do. Where do you draw inspiration/come up with ideas for your artwork.
Well, I’ve always been an artist, so I probably draw my inspiration from everything around me. Though I never seem to come up with an idea and then go running into Photoshop to try it. When I get bored with an old signature or avatar that I have, I usually just head back to the shop and start fooling around with what I’ve got. It’s that simple. Also, the best creations are often the result of horrible mistakes.
