Small or Large forum?

Simple poll, that's it. Just wanted to see everyone's opinion.

 

Do you like small forums, or large forums. It's like comparing LPF to the Official LP message board. LPF is pretty small (Well it has been growing a lot, lol), and LP's official forum is extremely big.

 

My vote goes to smallish forums. I hate it when it's crowded, since its harder to make some friends and such. It's okay if I join when it's small, and then it gets large.

I enjoy medium sized forums. LPF is perfect for me.

i like small, even tho lpf has like 4000 members only about 100-200 come on each day so thats nice and average for me =)

I agree with Sui. LPF is perfect. Places like the Fort Minor Forums are too large, & places like Krazy GFX are too small(As well as dying. XD)

I prefer lpf-sized forums.

My opinion exactly.

 

FMMB is great, but it's still too big...everytime I log on there's like 5 pages of posts in some sections although it's only been like 12 hrs since I was there last...

 

And as many have stated, LPF is of the perfect size. Easy to make friends, not a million posts to go through, but still quite a lot, I love this place

Medium - Don't like places where there are too many threads too quick but at the same time, I like to read a variety of threads so small places aren't always so great.

i like the medium sized ones like this i the official LP one is huge and too big and ive joined some fortminor ones and their ok. the small ones are lame because no one gets on so i pretty much love lpf

I like medium sized ... boards... because you don't have a bgillion people on there, clogging it up, and posting really fast, and all that insanily, but you also don't have the board inactive all the time. chances are, ther's 3-7 people online all the time.

I like medium, LPF is perfect. On the big ones you don't really know who anyone is, and on the small ones it can be hard to get something to talk about, and can be a bit boring. LPF is just right, not too crowded, not too small. ^^

But medium forum's always get big someday...

I like a medium forum... which I believe, this is one. Small forums, there is never much to talk about and it takes people forever to get back to you. (Alot of the time) And on big forums you get tons of n00bs, spammers, and about 13 of the same exact thread. Thats why Ive stayed off the FM Boards for a while... its too big, too much spam, and too many n00bs. Have you ever seen when Holly or Mike posts or something? Following that there are about 20 "HI MIKE!" posts.

 

...and no one even cares.

Medium forums definatly =) LPF is awesome. I don't feel like I've missed that much if I'm not here for a couple of days, but there's enough posts and topics to keep me going. Plus everyone knows everyone practically. It's really a cool thing, not many forums have that =)

 

I have the same problem as Dave with larger forums. The amount of no0bs, spam, same topics repeated a gazillion times and many pages of useless information and crap just makes me wanna leave the place. You don't get to know anyone properly on them, and I always feel un-noticed or insignificant amongst everyone =) And lame fights start easier as well on them

 

Smalls one are fine =) I quite like them, but not as a regular everyday thing. It can get boring and there are only a limited amount of members and posts.

There's ups and downs for both. When you're part of a really large forum, there's constantly someone replying to threads, and it's always active, which doesn't happen to often in smaller forums. But, with larger forums, barely anyone knows eachother and there's really no sense of belonging like there is in smaller forums. I've been a part of both small and large forums, and it's really hard to choose which I like better.

 

Edit: I decided to choose medium sized forums, like LPF.

i voted medium, because small forums get pretty boring, and its had to really talk 2 people on big forums. so mediums r just right

Although I prefer medium forums, I will say that it really isn't about the size of the forums, but a person's involvement. You know what I mean?

I've just as many friends here on other forums twice this size, just because I spent waaayyyy too much time on there.

But I like this site. And all the other forums I've posted on have banned me.
