TRXFLYER
I have a set of almost new smoothies that are buffed so thin they lose air really quick. Any of you guys use Slime or similar in your buffed dune tires to keep the air in?
Dr. Beardface
I've used Fix-a-Flat in the past and it worked pretty well to stop air from leaking around the bead when sand got stuck in there. Heard pretty good things about Slime too. Quote 2004 TRX480R 30+ HP

TRXFLYER
It seems mine is leading through the threads as they are new but super thin double buffs. I think a little Slime will help stop the bleed through air leakage. Thanks guys.
black jack
ya, i had set leak the same way before'' i had to run tubes in them'' they shaved them so thin they were leaking threw the grind in spots like yours. that sucks balls
Guest Deven
Doesnt adding slime to double or tripple buffs defeat the purpose of multi buff tires? Id go back to single buffs before doing that

I would hold them under water first, adding slime to those tires defeats the purpose of having them. TRXFLYER
It has leaked since the first day before it even saw sand. Why would a little slime defeat the purpose? The weight of a little slime has to be less than the rubber they buffed off right? Right now it's packe into the back of my 5th wheel so it'll be a few days until I give it some slime it or not. A_White
I've never had good luck with slime. It vibrated soo bad on hard pack I couldn't use 5th gear. I'd call skat trak and see what they say.
