Oprah did an interesting interview where she admitted she gets stressed out writing checks to the IRS:

At about 1:35 she says:

"The most pain I feel is, and my accountants will tell you this. Every time I write a check to the IRS, it’s a ceremony. For years they came in with wine. Now they come in with tequila."

So the queen of American television who has been the main reason people like Obama has been elected also hates paying her taxes? I mean this is nothing new for Liberals, many of the most important people working for Obama have been proven to be dodging their taxes and such but I have to wonder, why don't these progressives rejoice at paying their taxes?

Paying their taxes is exactly the embodiment of their desire for the redistribution of wealth and giving out "free" stuff to the needy. Writing that check to the IRS should be fun, it should be a party atmosphere where they feel proud to give their money away to support the programs they want the Government to provide. So why are they so angry and upset instead? Someone help me out with this because it is completely crazy for progressives to complain about paying their taxes in my opinion.

If she's worth the 2.7 billion dollars, and signs several checks over 100k, I have a few questions:

Why does paying the IRS hurt? 2.7 billion dollars is an amount of money most people can't even fathom. That is a lot of ******* money.

How much could she possibly be paying to the IRS?

If she feels all of this "empathy" for the "paycheck to paycheck" folk, or the "jobless" folk, why does she not happily help fund the programs that allow them to pay their bills and feed their children?

I know I don't like having taxes taken out of my check. Nobody does. But I'm poverty level. So why does the rich ***** feel pain ponying up her share?

These people like Oprah help Liberals get into office but then complain about having to pay high taxes as a result of the expensive programs they create.

If you don't vote for liberals then I guess you have a right to complain, but if you vote to put these guys in office then shut up and be happy when you pay your taxes because it was people like you who gave them the power to increase your tax burdon.

You asked for it, you got it, why cry?

I bet she does, but even with the charity work she does she still supports very far left liberal canidates for political office so she is intentionally shooting herself in the foot.

I agree with you that she does do a lot of good, and she could possibly do a lot more good if she was allowed to keep more of the money she earns, just like every person in America could do more for his/her communities if they were not strapped with heavy tax burdons from each level of Government. I contend that most of the poverty in America is caused by our own Government either through enabling sloth or by hurting people so bad they are forced into poverty.

Doesn't matter. Taxes don't just pay for Welfare. And if you watch the video, she doesn't seem like she wants to give that money to charities, that selfish *****.

Entitlements make up 2/3rds of the federal budget. If not wanting to pay taxes makes you selfish count me as selfish.

What liberals believe is people have to be coerced into being charitable.

I also don't want to pay taxes. Doesn't make you selfish. But when you promote what she promotes, and claims to have sympathy for these people, and then ***** about paying for the programs that keep them from starving, you're a hypocrite. But if you act like it's somehow going to hurt you financially to pay your share on the 2.7 billion dollars you're worth, while being a hypocrite for the aforementioned reasons, you're a selfish *****.

Scratch that. I have no problem paying taxes. It's that my tax dollars go to some of the most corrupt, inept, and inefficient human beings we have in this country.

That describes 99% of Government employees, lol.

The main problem with Government run charity is the money given away means nothing to those who give it away. They don't care about waste or if people truly need the money because they have no attachment to that money. The workers who give this money away are themselves paid with the same tax funds and are just doing their 8 hours for all the Government benefits and such without actually providing any true service or product that generates income for anyone. Even a guy working as a greeter at Wal-Mart does more for this Nation than all the welfare workers combined. The second problem with Government run charity is the system itself, it costs a massive amount of money just to maintain the buracracy. All the buildings and operating expenses to keep the monster fed is enough to feed millions of people itself if you could break out that cost and let local churches handle the money and feeding.

There is an old saying "the right tool for the right job". The Federal Government is the wrong tool for the job of local hunger and charity work, IMHO.
