Sorry but, I'm so confused.

I feel really bad about making a thread in here asking for advice as I never have anything decent to say to anyone else who has a problem... but I don't know where else to turn. Well here goes, I'll try my best to explain the situation.

 

 

I found out, yesterday, that a good friend of mine likes me- I mean really likes me- I'm not sure if he loves me, but its a big attraction. This came as a shock to me, I always thought that he thought of me as just a friend, but apparently he has liked me in this way for a while. He doesn't know that I know- which I am glad of. He is quite shy and will probably feel very awkward about it and start ignoring me.

 

The thing is- I feel the same way. I have done for a while now, and knowing that he likes me too is great. However, no-one knows that I like him that much. I have recently told couple of really close friends that I like him, but they have no idea how I really feel- no-one does. I feel that I cannot trust anyone.

 

You're probably thinking, "Well thats great, tell him you feel the same way!". But its not as easy as all that. I'm shy too, and I couldn't bear it if he rejected me. He has told a friend that he doesn't like relationships (he had a bad experience with another girl some time ago), so I'm worried that he won't want to be with me- no matter how much he likes me.

 

Hes a lovely guy- and I don't want this to ruin our friendship. A lot of people know about how he feels about me now, its spreading round the school quickly, so hes probably thinking its only a matter of time before it gets round to me.

 

Basically, what I'm asking is, what should I do? Hes gonna find out that I know eventually, and then hes gonna be so embarrased. I don't want this to go to waste. He likes me, I like him. In my opinion we should be together, but I can't bring myself to tell him how I feel. I'm hopeless at this sort of stuff. Please help me decide what to do

meh, since he'll most likely find out you know.. just tell him how you feel. bring it up in a casual conversations (i feel online is so much easier than person, seeing as how i'm like, teh shy guy, it's just.. easier) anyways, just tell him that you found out.. and that you were shocked, but in a goodway, and that you've actually felt the same way about him.. but you know he doesn't like relationships, but you didn't want him to be embarassed or feel alone. and that's that, leave it up to him to decide where to go next.

dark angel.... if u cannot tell him in front of him... call him or tell him how u feel.. or tell him on chat...if he said that he didnot want to get into relationship..tell him u can wait... i will make him happy

I would suggest tell him. If you're shy in that regaurd (like me ) I would suggest talking on AIM or something. I don't know about you, but it's a lot easier for me to talk to people that way (like Hyper said). I mean if he really likes you I'm sure he wants to be with you. Just talk to him and ask him if what you've heard is true. And be like, Wow I really liked you, too. Then just see where it goes from there. I wish you luck. :thumbsup:

Just tell him. You gotta do something. I think it's best if you don't bring it up too fast though. Do you guys talk normally? have you every been in a long conversation? Think about things like that so you can be a litte comfortable if you confront him. Like some other members have said, do you have a way to talk to him online? That would be a good way.

If you are too shy, get someone else to do it. Keep in mind, the best relationships are those that were friends first. You both feel the same way. You will both know about each others feelings soon enough from enough people that it will be obvious. Make the first move. Guys secretly love it. You will do fine. Best of luck.

Why don't you ask him to hang out with you like alot and maybe just randomly add one of those "hey..i like you" lines.

just go up to him... and say "i love you" just like randomly and then like hang out with him and tell him how you feel when you guys are alone.

well lmao saying it randomly he may just brush it off

 

try and get the topic to be like about love and girlfriends/boyfriends and his views on that and ask him if he has a crush on anyone.

Tehe I'm too scared to say it randomly lol. To his face aswell

Well saying it to his face yourself

 

is better then getting a friend to say it, saying it on the phone or saying it on an email or via msn..

 

because he will see the expressions on your face and stuff so he can know how serious you really are about it

it may seem hard but its actually easier then getting a friend to say it

If u want him to propose to u then what i'll suggest u to do is to make him feel that u have the same feelings for him by not telling him directly....i mean behave like he's ur boyfriend....that way he'll get a feeling that may be u are the girl he had been looking for...ensure him that he'll find himself in a safe relationship n that u will never dump ( make him feel all this indirectly...u're behaviour towards him, u're expressions, gestures..u know!these are what counts )...he's actually worried..he doesn't want the same thing to happen to him again...n it's upto u to make him feel that u have true feelings for him. hope u get what i mean
