South Korea's Kim Si-Woo was classified Thursday as a US PGA Tour rookie for the 2015-16 season, confirming his eligibility for the Rookie of the Year award. Kim, who won last month's US PGA Wyndham Championship, earned PGA Tour status in the 2013 campaign but played in only eight tournaments, short of the minimum 10 events needed to be defined as a rookie in that season. Entering this week's BMW Championship at Indianapolis, Kim is among three rookies out of 70 players still in the hunt for the crown, joined by Argentina's Emiliano Grillo in eighth and American Smylie Kaufman in 33rd.
