According to the Gauntlet, the special editions of 'Minutes to Midnight' will contain bonus, early versions of several tracks, which feature original vocals by Mike Shinoda, as opposed to many of the songs which now only have Shinoda doing backing vocals.

Concerning his vocal absentee-ism on the new record, Shinoda says: "In a lot of cases I did a lot of writing, and then I gave it to Chester and he did a lot of singing, which, I think he's one of the best singers of our generation. So, I really love to hear him sing. I was really happy to have him singing more on this record."

Cool, At Least I know for sure now, that they will play their old songs as well as there new ones on tour... It's going to be awesome hearing In The End, Numb and all that live! and if they don't play the old songs, Mike wont be doing much on stage

Will the special edition come out the same time as the regular album? If so, how much will it cost?

I'm hoping no more then 45 dollars, 50 max.

I have no idea to be honest, sometimes the special edition comes out after the normal album is out for abit, but both could get released at the same time. :)

*** I hope we get No More Sorrow and Given Up with Mike rapping the verses :D

He wouldn't be rapping... He is going to be singing the verses, since he is doing "vocals." which we all know now he can do. I am not completely sure if that's true, but I think he will be singing them in a lower tone.

sweet, even more **** packed into the cd/dvd now...sweeeeeeeeeet

so that means LP are shoving demo-like tracks on there, although they would sound fairly polished...wow, wasnt that one of our predictions or wants for the new album? like demo-style tracks of tracks unused or tracks before they were polished off? awesomeness
