You can try to turn the bars all the way to the left, then push the stabilizer rod all the way into the shock body and adjust the collar as far as it goes without the shaft hitting the stem. Lock it down and try to turn the bars fully both ways. As long as the shaft doesn't hit the stem, you'll be ok. Looks to me like it may be out of adjustment a bit because it does look like it sticks out more than normal.

Mine is a stick type as well, it's an Alba.....But yours is freakishly bigger than mine...I'm kinda jealous.....

I bought the stick type because it was cheap($109.00) and I wanted to see if it helped with arm fatigue and stability. So far so good. Eventually I will get a different one, but for now it works.

will the CCP steering stabilizer work with a LSR gusseted frame? im thinking about getting one but not sure if it will fit right with the gussets

 

Most frames that are gussetted need the front gussets trimed for a puck style to fit. My Baer needed cut for the precision on the XC quad.
