Guest Jacqueline1958
My computer had a virus because I tried to delete an email I received but instead of deleting it opened and some weird security offer popped up. I eventually deleted it from my computer and I was able to run a scan with Microsoft security. I updated to IE9 also. My computer then crashed I think on Sunday 3/11/2012 and 3/12/2012. It came back up on Sunday without any problem but on Monday it didn't. I keep this box that tells me to Choose the program you want to use to open this file: Recommended Programs. Internet Explorer, Internet Low-Mic Utility Tool and Windows Media Center. But when I click on any of them it asks me if I want to run or save this program but when I click run or save the box pops back up again. I have tried the system restore and the box still pops up. I went all the back to 3/11/2012 and nothing changed. The only way I can access any of my icons on my desktop I have to right click on it and click Run as administrator. That's not the way I want to open my icons all of the time. Don't know what happened but can someone please help me.Neither of those at the bottom fit me. Can't access Microsoft Essentinals unless I go through the adminstrator too.Tried to update but keep error message saying Internet or Network connectivity. Thanks Continue reading...
