So I have an EX485 and one of the drives failed. No Big deal, but then I wanted to replace the drive and thus where I ran into issues.
Obviously, the issue that I have is the inability to purchase non-Advanced Format Drives.
So, in reading

I am getting conflicting information on how to do this and whether or not this is possible with the HP EX485. Some are indicating the align utility works where other indicate that you should not use this with WHS.
So, I need to figure out a way to get back to a setup where I have redundancy.
1. Can I buy non-Advanced Drives?
2. Does the Align Utility work WHS?
3. Can I upgrade my ex485 to Home Server 2011?
4. Is adding External Drives my only Option?
5. Should I just start from scratch with a new machine?
