Talk bout the meanin behind the songs and talk about our favourit songs here

hey i'm starting this new topic to have intelligent conversation because some of you (naming no names) are constantly on about the bands looks and appearence which doesn't matter to me, even though i think chester, joe and mike are hot, i'd be lying if i wasn't physically attracted to them but i don't just like the band just because they have a hot leadsinger (grrrr.....chester)

a hot emcee (mmm....mike) and a hot dj (joe) i like talking about the bands meanings behind the lyrics because they have a meaniful connection to me

thanx

p.s i don't mind talking about the bands looks but not constantly any surgestions for a discussion

here i'll start

what do you think of the musical colabration of linkin park and jay-z

and what do you think of these two tracks from the album collision course

numb/encore

and

99 problems/papercut/one step closer

here's one of my opinionsi like the tune to numb/encore and the starty then theres a load of rapping crud and they leave chester out til the last bit of the song and THAT ****** me off so much, cos chester is a talented and amazing vocalist and it seems unfair

agree or disagree?

about numb/encore, it is weird to me to put jay-z lyrics first and then at the end comes chaz. but that's better in my opinion than having it like all other songs: verse-chorus-verse-chorus-bridge-chorus. that sucks.

it's really hard to interprete the meaning of lp lyrics. they can apply to so many things. they can apply to heart-break, distrust, low self-confidence, loneliness, anger, frenzy, and unhappiness. maybe somebody can tell us the meaning of the odd song, but certainly not all

I thought Numb/Encore was cool. I think the Numb instrumental sounds better than Jay-Z's original Encore instrumental. I hear Numb too much anyways, so I liked that Jay-Z's part was on it the most.

99 Problem/One Step Closer/Points Of Authority is the best track on the album, that's why it's last. The coolest thing I like about it is that Mike totally freaks Jay-Z's first verse of 99 Problems. He changes all the words to plural and doesn't say the "n" word because he's talking about himself and Jay-Z. But in the real version, Jay-Z just talks about himself. For example: Jay-Z says "They don't play my hits, well I don't give a s*** so." But Mike changes that line to "They don't play our hits, we don't give a s*** so." Then near the end, the instrumental changes to One Step Closer. I like that fact that One Step Closer and Points Of Authority both sound good with 99 Problems. I just thought that whole song was good.

i agree with you... i mean.. with that song they should have put LP first or just you kno like traded off during the song or sumthing... leavin Chester for the end was crappy of them. but then agian.. there is that sayin... Save the best for last....

so yea... i really don't like that fact the Jayz and LP got together.. yea they do good work together but sum of Jayz's lyrics are just a little to strong to be on LP... LP puts meaning to their lyrics and Jayz just rights whatever he thinks will sell.. .don't get me wrong i luv alot of Jayz's songs but sometimes they are just a little to heavy.. you kno what i mean.. ne waiz... its about time sum1 dicided to say something other than how hott LP is.. i mean they are VERY hot but that shouldn't be the topic for every conversation...!!!!!...

*luv always Krista*

I think the collaboration with Jay-Z was great. Numb/Encore and POA/OSC/99 Problems are wonderful, in my opinion.

I disagree with you about Numb/Encore, I think leaving Chester until the end was a smart move because he just sort of summed it all up.

For POA/OSC/99 Problems, that was probably the best song on Collision Course because the actual mash-up was put together so well. Also Mike rapping over Jay-Z's parts was great, he did an awesome job.

from the inside has a special meaning to me bc of the lyrics i wrote to the song. it's part two of a triology of songs about a guy who loses his family in an avalanche. actually it's just two songs yet, i haven't decided which lp song will be the third and last. but the first one is frgt/10, the second one is from the inside. maybe i'll do numb/encore, i don't know. but, i took those two from different albums and part one is a song published earlier than part two so i'll probly wait for the next lp album to finish my little triology

now what d'ya think about these solo projects, personally i don't like it, it gives me an eerrie sense of unease cos it's like they're becoming further apart as a band , but there is the whole fact of expressing themselves as an indivdual and all BUT i think they sound better together as a band because they share their ideas and they know what they want as a band and as a band LP are outstanding lyricists and excelllent musicians :D
