I've been excited about this one for months... I think it's almost been a year in fact. Finally, I got to hear the album (A day before release) and I have to say, They have really stepped up a lot from their previous albums, Welcome, Gift and Blue-Sky Research which seems to be a trend for Taproot. They tried a lot of new stuff on this album such as a female vocalist featuring on a track, it's not as big of a change as they did when they made Blue-Sky Research but it still has a completely different feel to it. If you haven't heard their previous stuff, you totally should check them out but overall, Our Long Road Home is probably the way to go if you want to check out Taproot.
The album is overall heavier as Blue-Sky Research (it can't be properly compared to their of the other albums) which works out. I think they have been trying to find a sound that really fits them perfectly for a while and it totally seems like they are on the right track. So if you want a link to it, let me know I'll give it to you...
