What do you think of the current fad for tattoo's.

Do you have one,if so,where. Discreet or well out front.

I hate the thought of needles,so that turns me off immediatly.

I have my initials on my left forearm, a Cross with a rose and banner wrapped around it on my upper left arm, and the little banner says "En Memoria" "Domingo mi Padre". I also have another small cross on my upper right shoulder, and a cobra on my right shoulder. And I also have an ex girlfriends initials tattoo'd on my left leg, but is barely noticeable. Tattoo's don't REALLY hurt unless you get it in a place that is close to bone. Even then, the pain is minimal... at least in my opinion.

I have one on my lower back. It's a private nickname from a long time ago. I've recently thought about getting something over it. I wouldn't want one on my arms or where it was really visible, just because I've always had professional jobs and no matter what people will tell you, it just looks unprofessional on a girl. Sexist, yes. I can't help that. I like them on men, but not when they get carried away.

Mine on my back hurt, but they hit bone quite a bit. They also hit my epidural scar and that sent me thru the roof. But I still want one more.

I have an 8" tiger on the upper right of my back which is the first part of a project I'm working towards. I also have 2 home done tattoos on my right leg; One of 'Radio-Bot' and one of a 5 link pattern (Done by a friend who also does chainmail.)

The needle gun and a stick and poke are way different experiences. My tiger took a little over 3 hours and I remember the dopamine rush accually made my vision blurry where as the stick and poke was kinda like somebody playing guitar with your nerves. Every few minutes just a "Yowza!" :p

I like tattoos... mostly. I hate the ones above the ********><

But then there are the meaningful tattoos. The ones with a story behind them. Maybe it's a memorial, maybe it has something to do with your kids, maybe it's about where you're from. I like those tattoos. If I can learn something about you by looking at your skin, that's a good tattoo.

People ***** about "WTF WHAT IF YOU LIEK, DONT WANT IT LATER!?!" You don't throw away memories, so why worry?

I'd definitely get a tattoo.

I want a few more, but I want to be able to have them hidden. The only one on me that is normally visible, is my initials on my left arm. I don't like showing them off, I just like them.

I plan on getting a dragon tattooed on me one of these days.

I already have the dragon design for my cars steering wheel and seat covers. Been meaning to get one for years. My ideal design is like one of the images in one of Stephan King's novels, wrote under another name.

I have the Eye of Ra on my left shoulder.....

before the needle struck the tattoo artitst had to tell me to chill out because my entire body was shaking because i was scared of the pain....

5 minutes...well maybe 10 ....i almost fell asleep in the chair...

I have a high AND low tolerance for pain...apparently getting a tattoo is a high tolerance for me...

I want more........much more....but deciding what i want on my body for life is a hard choice...so im glad about that....tattoos shouldnt be a "oh i guess ill get that" sort of decision....

next up for me is an ankle tattoo.......

but they are addicting...even tho i cant even see mine without a mirror!!!!!!

I spent all those years in the Corp and I do not have one tattoo. My Marine brothers didn't understand why I didn't want a tat of our unit's callsign or at least my callsign on my arm. The only plausible answer I could give, "I love you all, my brothers, but my mom would wring my neck!".

To this day I don't know why. I guess, I'd hate to see what they'd look like at 40, 50, 60, etc. My grandfather has several tats on his lower arms from his tenure in the Navy during WWII and Korea. My father has a few on his arms, the most prominent is on his right bicep.

Funny...all I can say is DITTO.

For me, tattoos are like piercings. I can admire some, but they have never been for me.

Please tell me this was for a girlfriend.
worse..... a matching one for my wife:D . it is only 1 inch. out of all it was the most painful. when i get 1 i get 2 can cokes, 1 to sip and 1 to hold on my head. *****? maybe, but it fuggin hurts

we have the same 1 on our ankle instead of names. i guess it is a good thing because i have been married 3 times since then. we are married now.

i want full sleeves but she won't let me. my next 1 will be 2 interlocking hearts with roses and a banner going thru both with my daughters' names on it.

my big dragon took 15+ hours to do but(you won't believe me) it cost $200. he was trying to get a rep. in a new shop i guess. i saw lots of his work when he was somewhere else.

hey royal... i didn't get the "devil dog" either.

I just don't think I could stand being poked over and over and over again with a needle...I have thought about getting a Henna kit and playing around with that with my daughter. Nothing permanent and nothing painful.
