The Last Supper

This weekend I went out with friends to a little whole in the wall bar here in the desolate, frozen tundra. It's such a redneck dive, but they serve up THEE best prime rib and cheesy hashbrowns that will ever hit your palette. Also, when you order a mixed drink they don't skimp on the liquor and the cost is super cheap. Old country tunes are playing on the Juke Box, the local men are playing pool and then everyone gets teams together and plays darts. It really is a lot of fun....if you're low maintenence, that is.

While we were eating, one of the guys said that if he knew he was going to die, he would choose the meal he was eating as his last supper. Most everyone concurred.

While I did enjoy the meal immensely, I got to thinking....what would I choose for my last supper?

I decided on the following:

The Lobster Bisque I had at a super fancy restaurant in Las Vegas. My ***, I still have dreams about that creamy bowl of culinary perfection.

Lobster tail. Though I'm a landlocked gal, I LOVE seafood. I'm not sophisticated enough to know what the "best piece of tail" is in the lobster world, but I know I would want it to tickle my taste buds before my demise.

Chicken Marsala. MMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!! I absolutely love it!

French crepe with chocolate hazelnut spread and homemade whipped cream. 10 billion calories and worth every bite. Absolutely orgasmic.

This would all be served with the finest Reisling.

What would you choose for your last supper?

Hmm, it would be a toss up between my tacos, or my burittos, or my scalloped potatoes and ham..... or my grandma's brownies.

**** WITH IT, GIVE ME ALL OF THE ABOVE, IT'S MY LAST MEAL !!

Beef tenderloin (******), szechuan green beans, freezing cold mango and lots of slushy bellinis (lots of them).

A slab of ribs, cole slaw, baked potato with all the toppings and a six pack of Bud. **** make it a case, not like I gotta worry about a hangover. Plenty of bacon on that potato.

Too bad ya'd only be able to eat three bites.

Crab and lots of it! I could do a lobster or two also. I don't need any butter on either one.

A nice cut of prime rib with blackened cajun rub.

A nice shrimp caesar salad and baked potato.

Oh and a bottle of,

La Fin Du Monde!

I would want for a first course...

A big supply of fruit.. fuji apples, bananas, oranges, pineapple, etc..

Then I would like a nice spinach salad with Dorthy Lynch dressing.

Then I would like a nice broccoli cheese beer soup.

Then, I would like Ali to bake me a ham

Then I would like a chocolate cheese cake with ice cream on the side.

Then lastly, I would like a nice chocolate malted, made with real malt powder and blended from real gourmet ice cream.

My tastes are simple. Just give me a Quarter Pounder with Cheese, large fries, and a cola and I'll die happy.

You may think that's strange, but when you've lived outside the US for as long as I have, it's a real treat.

LOL...Wanna know something funny? I hate McDonalds, but occasionally I'll opt for a cheeseburger. One stipulation....I can't look under the bun...the visual of the grey meat makes me nauseous lol. I need someone else to put my extra ketchup on it.

Haha....grey meat! Old cow + soy/filler = Yikes!

Start with a Caesar salad. I've never had a Ruth's Chris steak, so, probably their biggest ribeye, pittsburgh rare. Loaded baked potato with a little heinz 57. A bottle of crown. and a cherry pie with vanilla ice cream.
