This weekend I went out with friends to a little whole in the wall bar here in the desolate, frozen tundra. It's such a redneck dive, but they serve up THEE best prime rib and cheesy hashbrowns that will ever hit your palette. Also, when you order a mixed drink they don't skimp on the liquor and the cost is super cheap. Old country tunes are playing on the Juke Box, the local men are playing pool and then everyone gets teams together and plays darts. It really is a lot of fun....if you're low maintenence, that is.
While we were eating, one of the guys said that if he knew he was going to die, he would choose the meal he was eating as his last supper. Most everyone concurred.
While I did enjoy the meal immensely, I got to thinking....what would I choose for my last supper?
I decided on the following:
The Lobster Bisque I had at a super fancy restaurant in Las Vegas. My ***, I still have dreams about that creamy bowl of culinary perfection.
Lobster tail. Though I'm a landlocked gal, I LOVE seafood. I'm not sophisticated enough to know what the "best piece of tail" is in the lobster world, but I know I would want it to tickle my taste buds before my demise.
Chicken Marsala. MMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!! I absolutely love it!
French crepe with chocolate hazelnut spread and homemade whipped cream. 10 billion calories and worth every bite. Absolutely orgasmic.
This would all be served with the finest Reisling.
