I was watching Fox News a few minutes ago and they said that the Pope has died. & now I'm watching it again and they're saying that his heart is still working but he is brain dead. It's really confusing, but anyways...I think this is really sad. I can't stop crying. It really affects me b/c not only am I Catholic, but I'm also Polish and so is the Pope. The Pope means EVERYTHING to Polish people.

I'm gunna go now and watch some more news.

I was watching the news yesterday and they said that the pope was still fighting for his life, and 2day I watched them and they were saying the same.

It´s really sad to see the way he is in,I have been told that the pope said on a testamente that if he was going 2 die,he wanted to die peacefully without problems but it seems that other ppl doesn´t want him to die.

It´s really sad.

I'm Catholic and Irish(a lethal combination), and the mood here is one of sadness. I'm not a practicing Catholic; I like to call myself a 'recovering Catholic', but I hope that when the end comes, that he passes away quickly, quietly, and peacefully.

I've been watching TV for 2 or 3 hours. I cried a lot. Yes, Justyna, you're right, the pope is everything to polish people also to me. I can't imagine someone else as the pope. He is so wonderful, caring and good person.

It's really sad. I just can't believe it, he can't die, he can't... :( I hope he survive...

Well Popes get old, it's gotta be their time eventually.

So I'm Catholic. I guess that would make the Pope important to me. But I'm not really sure what the Pope actually does. My mom says he makes decision about our faith. I guess my opinion comes from the fact that I don't really follow my religion like I should. But personally, I don't need an old guy to make decisions for me.

But ehhh...it is sad. If I was Pope I wouldn't want my death or not death being on TV 24/7!!

He not only makes decisions. It is the least important thing. He is authority to a lot of people. He exhorts to unification and tolerance. He is a huge person. He is a symbol of fight with illness. He helps people all over the world. He risked his life to visit believers from dangerous countries. He brings consolation. He made a lot of good stuff when here was communism in Europe.

But how is that important? Sounds like just a nice guy to me.....Now don't get me wrong, I am not a Pope-hater, I just don't see why it's a big deal.

I think it is his time. He was a great man, he was. He helped tear down Communism in Europe, and wasn't afraid to stand up to anyone. Even the United States. I'm not Catholic, but I still look at the Pope as an important religious figure in the world. He was an extraordinary person, and I hope that he is able to pass on peacefully, if he does.

he needs to die. Not to be mean, he is a great man. It's just his time, his health has been failing for a long time now and it's better for him to go on to heaven.

He will be honored by Catholics and non Catholics everywhere

Yeah, that's true. Sometimes it's better for old people to die than to just keep living and suffering.

I don't go along with any religion, but still, this is very sad. I'm guessing tonigh (or today where ever u all live) will be the last for him. I hope he'll live a little longer, but if not, I hope he feels no pain.
