The Price of Razorblade Cartridges

Who the **** sets the prices for these things?

Check out the list of prices on this link ----> Razorblade Cartridges @ shopping.com An 8 cartridge pack is set at twenty dollars? Sure they may last a while, but in their right mind shaves once a year to get their money's worth?

Most men and women use the cartridge based personal razor as opposed to the electric models. I believe they cut better, not prone to the maintenance an electric is, and leave a smoother, closer shave. Not to mention, you don't run the chance of electrocution or battery dying mid-shave.

I use the Gillette Fusion currently and am pleased with its performance. What I find so mind-fuckingly outrageous is the price of the cartridges! In most cases, it is cheaper to buy a completely new razor than it is to purchase the cartridges.

GF, how do you feel about the cost of the cartridge razor?

I only use a razor to shave the bikini line, so I don't have to replace it that often. I use Nair for the legs. I think if I was having to use a razor for my face and replace it fairly often, I would find the price outrageous.

Anyone remember the 90's when we were subjected to the Epilady? It didn't shave, it pulled the hairs out by the roots. Painfully.

I was going to pick up some replacement cartridges at Costco and was shocked at the price, usually buying in bulk cuts down on the price.

I plan on having the hair on my legs laser removed one of these days, it would be nice to never have to shave again.

I have an old Sensor that I bought in 91 and it still works fine. I can get a 5 pack of blades for about 6 bucks. The new razors are a ripoff. Who the **** needs 4 cutting blades? 2 is more than enough.

Well from the pictures that I've seen of you, snaffy, a razor would dull itself upon first stroke.
I just keep the beard trimmed up a bit. Ya know off the cheeks. Can't look to scruffy. I keep it looking good.

I use Gillette's Venus for a close shave and you are right, the replacement blades are ******* expensive! I think the last batch I bought at Wal-Mart was around $8 and change for 4 blades.

I tried the Epilady when it first came out. It took about 1/2 an hour of pure torture to clear a 2x2 inch patch of skin on my leg. Screw that.

They sell the **** out of them so the point is?
That despite the lackluster reception of the two-bladed razor, the three to five bladed razor has all the bells and whistles, marketing gimmicks, and pretty packaging one can expect in this dominion of toiletries.

Let's not forget ******* Nair for Men.
