SO we are destined to keep hearing about the crazy ways that Cubans are trying to float their way to America.
I often wonder about countries like Mexico and Cuba. Is it possible that eventualy these countries will do a census and discover that they only have a population of 500 people? "Where are our people"? "They went to America".
"Well what the **** are we doing here, lets go too". Its like, "Should we fix this problem, or go buy a big *** intertube and float away from it"?
How is it possible in this day and age that millions of people can live in an impoverished and broke down country, knowing of freedom and opportunity just miles away, but yet can't pull together and fix the social and political issues in their own country. I often think of this when I see a Mexican dude driving down the street with a hugely obvious Mexican flag on his vehicle. As if hes proud of the country and culture he risked his life to escape. To me thats akin to putting a huge bumper sticker on my car that sports the name of the prison I just escaped from. Buy an American flag Jose'.
