Ahh yes, the ever dreaded traffic tickets.. I got one last night for, "disregarding a stop sign".. Total bull, but is whatever..I went like a mile with the cop following me, and did 3 other complete stops, before he pulled me over and wrote me a ticket.. But the worse part is, it was right down the street from my house, and my mom came down to meet me.. She knew the cop, but he had already written the ticket, and he said, "Well had she told me who she was, it would have been a warning, but since the ticket is already written, there is nothing I can do." Now isn't that that biggest piece of bull **** you have ever heard.. It clearly proves the point, "Its not what you know, its who".. So now I have three questions for you:
1.)Should I be upset by what the cop said?
I was extremely angry when he said the I should have mentioned who I was, like what difference does that make, to me, it shouldn't matter, if you deserver a ticket, you deserve a ticket, regardless of who you are.
2.) Should I go to court or just pay the fine?
My mom told me this ticket is my responsibility, so I can either pay the fine, or go to court... But I don't know if court is worth it, but I mean if there is a chance I could get the fine or charge reduced I should try right? But what are the chances of that?
3.) Have you ever gotten any tickets?
Like I said, this was my first ticket.. I truly believe its a bullshit one, because I know I stopped, but, I honestly have to say, I am reaaaaaalllllly lucky, because my friend was high in the seat next to me, so it could have been so much worse. Also, my mom said this ticket is totally my responsibility.. So any advice would me much appreciated.
