Trojan Pop Up

Hello,

yesterday i was on the net then all of a sudden i will get 2 or more

pop ups every now and again so i did a windows defender check/norton 360

and spybot check anyway i found the trojan it was a .dLL it was removed

but the pop up spam keeps coming and no matter how many scans i do it

cant find the problem please help..

I use Avast in preference to norton; but it is your choice.

Go into Safe Mode, and rescan in SM to find probs(info on how to at the

bottom) ity

Rescan with Spybot S & D, and norton in SM

Programs that I have installed, and how to use them to remove problems.

Vista’s Firewall works very well.

Then SCAN with it.

Update it once a fortnight, and let it do its work in the background!

Important re: Safe Mode

If you happen to find a problem that you can’t uninstall / delete, reboot

the computer, and go into Safe Mode.

To get into Safe mode, tap F8 right at Power On / Startup, and use UP arrow

key to get to Safe Mode, then hit ENTER.

RESCAN your computer while in Safe Mode.

You really need to give more detail and look them up one Google or

whatever because what Norton saw is not necessarily related to the

"Trojan" and in any case the warning might be a false positive. Sorry

but there are so many variations of these damned nuisance things that

your description does not give many clues, and nobody here will want to

take a "Guess" and advise you to do something that might damage your system.

A process is running that is most likely piggy backing off of another

running process, and it's not going to be found unless you go deep diving

looking for it with the proper tools, such as Process Explorer which will

allow you to look inside any running process to see what the process is

hosting, including a hidden malware process.

With PE, you go to Menu/View/Show lower pane/Show all DLL(s), which shows

all hidden processes hosted by a running process in the upper pane. You can

right-click a process in the upper pane and go to Properties that will give

you more information about a running process, and you can do the same in the

lower pane too.

the Free version you have to run manually and doesn't give you real time

protection except watch over your home page in ie.
