Trouble with windows, get "open with" box when I click on desktop icons

I had a trojan virus, got rid of it, but now when I click on a desktop icon, I get a "Open With" window that tells me to choose the program you want to use to open this file, then it says right below that, "File:iexplore.exe" What gives?
