Troubles with Security Essentials AFTER removing Smart Fortress

My computer was infested by Smart Fortress 2012. I have successfuly removed it using Malwarebytes, but since then Security Essentials do not work. I uninstalled it and wanted to install it again, but it simply does not want to install.
