TRX450R front shocks

Front TRX450R shocks, straight shafts, good seals, black springs. These are super clean as you can see from the pics, no issues and will make someone very happy. These shocks have already been clearanced to fit on a 400EX or can go right back on a 450R, bolt up and go!

The grinding is to clear the fender mounts on a 400ex. There's very little taken off and doesn't effect the functionality or strength of the shock. Some one will be happy with them...

I understand that, I have a 460ex with 450r shocks and what I did was I knocked that small spotwelded nut off that would make contact with the shock and ran a buttonhead bolt up through the hole from the bottom, by doing it that way there is no need to grind on the shocks, I must say you did a much nicer job than most I have seen, Steve

i agree, i did not grind my shocks on my 400ex. I simply popped that nut off and grinded a tiny tiny bit off the frame mount and they slid right in. Some guys grind the shocks, some guys grind the frame, and take the nut off it all depends.....i've done 2 400ex's now and i've gotta say, popping off that nut is the easiest way to do it, plus if you go to sell the shocks ya dont have to explain why they have been grinded, lol.

i see how the 440's run, how do you keep that 460 cool?

Ya, I'm aware there's more then one way to do it... These happen to be clearanced. Even being clearanced, there is more then enough strength. I'm sure a shock shaft or frame mount would let go before the eye did.

This is a common practice for fitment and they are still for sale.. Please, let's keep this thread on track.

I have another set that hasn't been clearance if anyone is interested.

I run a oversize oil tank and a larger oil cooler and no problems so far, I bet if it was summer and hot as **** trying to do a tree shot it could get hot but I don't risk it,
