Trying to download Internet Explorer 8 onto Windows Vista PC

I'm trying to Download Internet Explorer 8 on my PC. I had it before but recently had to take the PC to be wiped and reload the operating system. The guys at the store loaded IE9, which I cannot use for school or work applications. I went through the steps to uninstall IE9 and my IE reverted to IE7, which I don't want either. When I try to DL IE8 from this website it says "Incompatible with OS", which is confusing because I know I had it before. Can anyone help me out?
