I was thinking of how roughly 90% of Linkin Park fans are dying to hear B-sides, demos, and unreleased material from pre-Hybrid Theory to Minutes to Midnight. Just a thought, but do you think if some freak thing happened where the members of Linkin Park were killed (in a plane crash or something I don't know) do you think Warner is so money hungry with LP that they were try to scrape together a bunch of unheard material and put it on a CD to make a quick buck? Since they own the rights... I don't know.

probably be a best of and then "all the singles" album, waiting a few months before releasing a string load of merch including shirts, pants, undies etc followed up when attention starts to petre out, release b-sides buried out in joes backyard

then years down the track, when LP are resting peacefully in their graves(or dusted,w.e), Warner will find a way to bring the dead to life and bring LP out for another album, world tour, more best of and collectors items

Will LP have mass appeal in 10 years time? unlikely they are pretty much a fad band
welll...they are already around for 10 years....

so why shouldn't they be successful 10 years from now?

i dont agree, unless a internal band problem strikes them they will be around for a long time and will have alot of fans for a long time, i give them 3-5 more albums thats about 10 years more

I kinda liked the diveristy of this album, it has all those different moods to it
Yeah, same here. Only time will tell about how long they'll last. But with the sales of M2M, and Projekt Revolution this year, while there is somewhat of a decline, they are still selling alot of albums and alot of tickets. Anmd with the amount they are selling they still fall under the successful area. Unless the decline starts speeding up quick, in my humble opinion, they will still be around selling albums in ten years.

But honestly people I don't say this often, but lets stay on topic? *smiles sweetly*

As for that whole LP dying thing... while Warner may (or may not) be greedy they don't usually do that whole post posthumousness release thing with alot of bands/rappers. A greatest hits thing maybe, but I don't see that whole demo and b-side thing happening. But honestly any label's gonna wanna make as much money as possible, and the thing's Warner is doing they have every right to do under law and LP's contract... so...

Well in the UK at least the hype surrounding the band has dropped significantly, it may of gone to number 1 on name value alone but since the first week it plummeted as did 'What I've Done'.... 'Bleed It Out' is doing terrible.

Beasides I never said they wouldnt be still going, but as for re-issues and such, unless Nu-Metal becomes massive again it's unlikely it will have mass appeal is all.
