Two convicted murders escape from New York prison

By Victoria Cavaliere NEW YORK (Reuters) - Two convicted murderers have escaped a maximum security prison in New York state near the Canadian border and were the subject of a manhunt on Saturday, U.S. police said. The two men were missing at early morning bed check in the Clinton Correctional Facility, a men's state prison in Dannemora, about 40 miles (65 km) south of the Canadian province of Quebec. Both men are considered a danger to the public, New York state police said.
