It may be misinformation, but here it is for educational purposes: You decide: "WASHINGTON, DC -- "In the last four years of war in Afghanistan and Iraq, the unreported death toll of American military personnel is in excess of 20,000 (20, 871) and the wounded who had to be evacuated from the combat areas for out-of-theater hospitals are in excess of 56,000. This is from a highly classified report sent by the Pentagon to the White House and is of a severely restricted circulation. Guest GO Mavs
"This is entirely logical based on the number of troops engaged in both theaters and the duration and increasing deadliness of the bombings, snipings and clandestine mortar and rocket attacks. There is growing public disbelief in the 3,000 plus figures given out by the Pentagon and their paid bloggers but the press steadfastly refuses to even question this issue or even dare to hint at the truth. " Miracle conspiracies. Even if the number (21,000) were true, which they are not, then it would hardly be true that the media is refusing to run the story. In fact, it would be front page news in every newspaper. Yet this person states that the bloggers are paid by the White House and therefore have control on all the news that leaks out. another piece of the article " Families of the dead are always notified but the public is only shows the ca 3 per day when the actual total runs between 9 and 20. This is probably the best-kept secret of the war and God help any reporter in the national media who prints any of this or any member of the DoD who even hints at knowing about it. " wtf? HAHA.. can we get a guy who writes english? and oh yeah.. the document is so secret that this person just happened to get a glance at it... good hell.. you people just keep growing and growing your conspiracy theories. Not you have 21 people dying a day. Its like the raeliens. "We have it but we cannot show it to you.. and God help anyone who does show it to you" which means.. you arent going to get to see it because its so top secret that God will need to help any reporter who shows it to you. Dont you people ever get tired of being fucking insane? <lorad474@cs.com> wrote in message news:1182823804.434202.226100@n60g2000hse.googlegroups.com... > On Jun 25, 6:48 pm, "Sid9" <s...@bellsouth.net> wrote: >> June 25, 2007 >> U.S. Military Deaths in Iraq at 3,562 >> By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS >> Filed at 8:09 p.m. ET >> >> As of Monday, June 25, 2007, at least 3,562 members of the U.S. military >> have died since the beginning of the Iraq war in March 2003, according to >> an >> Associated Press count. Hersh. Hersh states that, facing reelection, Kennedy, and his advisors, were afraid that Kennedy would be seen as "soft on communism" after his withdrawal from the Berlin Wall, in 1961, and his withdrawal from Cuba, with a secret deal that the US would not invade Cuba. Kennedy's advisors thought that they could change the public awareness to the far east, and win the reelection, with a new emphasis, that Kennedy was actually, really, strong on facing communism by sending more advisors to South Vietnam. I should know because I was in Korea and got the first (secret at that time) message looking for volunteers to Vietnam. Anyway, I do not have time for this, and the fact that I did know an unnamed someone, at the National War College, who said that Kennedy was most certainly going to withdraw from that position after he won the reelection, but he died, and Johnson was stuck with the same position. There is a lot more for anyone who wants to dig into the actual history.

WASHINGTON - Unease with American foreign policy and President Bush has intensified in countries that are some of the closest U.S. allies and around the globe, while Russia and China also face growing international wariness, a survey released Wednesday said. Support for the U.S.-led war in Iraq, the NATO military action in Afghanistan and worldwide American efforts against terrorism have dropped since 2002, according to an international survey by the nonpartisan Pew Research Center. Views of the United States in much of the Muslim world remain particularly negative. In one measure of Bush's unpopularity, the poll showed he is less trusted on foreign policy than Russian President Vladimir Putin by allies Britain, Germany and Canada, even as faith in Putin has plummeted. About half in the United States say they have little or no trust in either leader's conduct of foreign affairs. Story continues below -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- advertisement -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bush's sagging numbers partly reflect widespread opposition to the U.S. war in Iraq. Of the countries surveyed - which included the United States - more people favored the removal of American forces from Iraq in all but Israel, Ghana, Nigeria and Kenya. "Even though there is a mixed view of the United States around the world, there is increasing disapproval of the principal cornerstones of our foreign policy," said Pew President Andrew Kohut. Speaking at the Islamic Center of Washington on Wednesday, Bush accused religious extremists in the Middle East of seeking to fan anti- American sentiment. "This enemy falsely claims that America is at war with Muslims and the Muslim faith, when in fact it is these radicals who are Islam's true enemy," he said. The poll covered 46 countries plus the Palestinian territories. The United States is still seen favorably in most countries surveyed, including India, Japan, Italy, Israel and many countries in Africa. American culture and technology are widely admired, and many believe a better life can be had by moving to the United States. Deep concerns Yet wide-ranging majorities think the United States does not consider their interests when formulating foreign policy; worry that U.S. customs are hurting their countries; and think the United States contributes to the gap between rich and poor countries. As the U.S. has waged its war on terrorism over the past five years, its overall image has worsened. It has dropped from 75 percent favorable in Britain in 2002 to 51 percent now; from 60 percent to 30 percent in Germany; and from 64 percent to 56 percent in Mexico. Views of the United States have also slipped in Russia, Indonesia, Canada, China and India. The United States is seen favorably by 9 percent in NATO ally Turkey, the lowest of any country measured; 13 percent in the Palestinian territories; and by 15 percent in Pakistan and 20 percent in Jordan, both terror-war partners. Only in China, Ukraine and a handful of African nations did most express trust in his foreign policy. Views of Russia are mixed, with slightly favorable opinions in the United States, China, India and South Korea. Majorities in most European countries express worries about reliance on Russian energy, following last year's Russian cutoff of natural gas to Ukraine during a clash over prices.
